Re: Looking for a solid chain and lock to keep my red 150 sa

My last scooter was stolen out of my carport recently.

My new one is secured to a pole with a case-hardened steel chain
and is protected by a couple of other formidable locks as well.

Re: mystery dump...

Yeah, there was a deep divot in the road there. The first bike that fell was still fixated on that, when they hit the sand on the road. (Even the car at 3:50 slips on the sand as it starts up.) It looks to me like the second bike went down because the person steering it turned to look at the first b...

40,000 is fine if it has been well cared for.
Can you get a service record or have a mechanic look at it?

Re: Hurricane close up-the real deal !

It's through here. We got around 4 1/2 to 5 inches of rain and a lot of wind that knocked over trees onto the power lines and took out our power for most of the day. But nothing tragic. We still have a lot of folks here that were evacuated from the coast. (The coastal cities saw a lot more flooding ...

All those sparks, wow! The plastics on a PCX would melt.

And that seemed like a really, really noisy way to steal something.

Re: Those Autumn Leaves

Anyone experiencing the hurricane yet? The hurricane winds won't make it here (to the Midlands of South Carolina) and it won't start raining here until tomorrow. However, the excitement has already started. They've turned the freeway that my husband takes to work into a one-way road, to evacuate th...

Ooooo, yes!! As a short older woman myself, love the PCX!
Bigger scooters keep trying to tip themselves onto the pavement.

(And it would have ruined the moment to ask for a phone number)

Re: Scoot Commute 9 - the right tires

I'm liking the new stock tires that came with my new scooter. The old scooter came with Dunlops or such that were hard and slippery. The new one came with IRC SS-560s, which are softer and hold the road better. Might have been Pirelli which were very soft and wear out faster. Here is the tire you s...

Probably that or that you were nuts. ;)

The big SUVs are well-insulated from needing to notice road damage...
ironic, if you think back to what SUV suspensions used to be like.

Re: 2017 Model Forza, Will it exist in the USA ???

No, seriously. The lights on my new 2017 are better than the ones were on my 2015. On my old scooter I had to get off the scooter and look at them directly to see them. On the new one, I see the beams on anything that's in front of me. Perhaps the old ones lit up the road better, but I don't ride mu...

Re: I almost did it AGAIN!

There are metal plates everywhere here, especially since our flood. The tricks to surviving lots of metal plates... 1. Don't tailgate--you want to see them coming well ahead of time 2. Don't speed, because you won't have the space to slow down before you reach them 3. Straighten up and keep a firm g...

I politely bip the horn when the texting person ín front of me

Re: 1st time scooter owner

Tink, it's challenging to take the bike off its stand from the side, but folks with short legs may need to do that, because vigorously bumping the bike forward while standing on your toes, that's just as risky and it looks ridiculous. So you may need to practice keeping the front wheel straight and ...

I have two (2) shocks, I just counted them.

Incidentally, I think the 2017 is called a 2016 in Europe. I saw that here somewhere.
