Re: You're a biker? Questions, questions

Long weekend (3 day) now coming to a close :( Some folk never cease to amaze me. Here we go.....geez Same neighbor: "That's automatic.....Really?" (facial expression, 8) ) followed by: "Give me that thing, I'll show ya how to ride it!" (grabs bar, leg lifted over seat and arse p...

Re: Rode the Forza Today...

good review, Skuuter. I have 2 questions that I know you can answer off the top of your head and I don't have to google just now... what is the cc size of the Forza? and, what is the seat height? I am 5/6" and I can flat foot it on the PCX. will I be able to do that on the Forza?

Re: Fuel type in us

people have really attacked this subject with zest... and each with their own opinions! so, it's good to read what everyone thinks about ethanol vs non. so, here's my two cents worth, for what it's worth. after all, girls / women aren't supposed to know %$&&!! about cars and motors. I think ...

Re: 1964 CUSHMAN

nice looking retro scoot! we bought a 1957 NSU Prima D that looked a bit like the Cushman last year at auction. Guy a couple of hours north of us bought it along with a '73 Kawasaki that my husband rebuilt. He crammed both in the bed of his pick up and away he went! and, we even made a little money ...

Re: PCX top speed

the original windshield created too much upper body wind buffeting. I bought a mid-size Givi windscreen and did not help that much. sold that and bought a large Givi windscreen and that did the trick! I feel comfortable going 55 and don't get buffeted as much by the crosswinds. it's good to ask firs...

sorry Taz, didn't mean to start another topic. the question just popped in my head and I typed it up without thinking about it.

Re: Bought New PCX150

a larger windshield is definitely a must. the bugs you see splattered on your shield would be on you ! I think they put the small windscreen on the PCX just to have you trade up, to a larger windscreen. I bought a medium GIVI first but too much wind around the helmet. and, although I have a full fac...

just an aside question, does everyone use both rear view mirrors or do you seem to have a favorite, one that you seem to look out of all the time? for some reason, I tend to favor my right mirror.

Re: Increasing mpg with each fill up?

come on, guys. let's get back on track here. my question is, what is the distortion level with a large windscreen. Say you get stuck in a cloud burst and need to ride home. will I be able to see well enough to ride? and yes, I have ridden in the rain before, just with a smaller windscreen on the fro...

Re: Securing My PCX 125 on a trailer

[quote="Lecompte"]Need some advice/tips on securing my PCX on my utility trailer. As a rule of thumb, should I be using the side stand or the center stand? I think there was another topic about this recently and it was decided that you should use neither stand. just use your tie downs and ...

Re: Settling on a Givi B33, but one question...

sounds like you're getting 2 for the price of one, the back rest and the truck box for $50... a pretty good deal to me. then, you can bungie stuff (a backpack, etc) to the backrest AND put stuff in the back box. I use my GIVI back box all the time. You'll need a back rack attachment (about $40) unle...

Re: Increasing mpg with each fill up?

I'm no expert here but I think that the smaller GIVI windshield helps with a better gas mileage. I could be all wet about this. I get about 105 mpg and with a large GIVI windshield, and I think that's great. that seems to be what I have consistently gotten. I don't think it will change. My route tha...

Re: You're a biker? Questions, questions

I've only been riding for 2 years and have gotten the "dangerous story" many times now. so, when I see a scooter or motorcycle, I think, what can I do to minimize the danger. Basically, I think to myself, how can I be seen better?! that's the bottom line. not matching your bike, not wearin...

very sorry to hear about the passing of your wife's brother, Skuuter. 59 is young. it's hard on the ones around them when someone dies suddenly like that. The only saving grace is that it was quick and he did not suffer. Take Mitzie out for a ride to clear her mind.

Big Bummer! While things are not looking good right now, you may be up and around in a month or two, just in time to catch the end of the riding season. and, ride your scooter you should do. it's called getting back on the horse. actually, a motorcycle that you were not used to was the horse that th...

Re: Dopey twat

If the book says 156 miles per tank, that has to be optimal with a certain weight rider on a flat surface, at close to sea level. did some quick figuring in my head and came up with that number, Mel. actually, the book does not say 156 miles per tank of gas. with my weight, it's more like you said ...
