Re: Brand new uk pcx 125
When you say new, you're talking about the 19' ?
The one you're sat on is the 18'. The 19' has different wheels.

Re: NCY transmission kit installed today.
So if you think the take off revs are a bit high why not use the 1000rpm (black contra spring) that comes with the kit. I tried that, but found it engaged the cutch immidiately on opening the throttle so went back to the stock spring. To avoid confusion I only used the variator, 13g rollers, and the...

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
Yeah I used the original (OE) Clutch and bell since I only had about 3k on them at the time.. I tried the NCY 1000rpm spring and didnt like it, any amount of revs and the scoot would move, so the only parts I used were the variator assy and the rear driven face. My scoot has almost 12k on it now so ...

Re: 2019 PCX150 w/abs on HondaUSA site
I see the tires are wider at long last, not seen any info on the rim widths though and if they too have been changed, which I would think they have? When applied to older PCX's the slight difference in circumference would likely be offset by slight pinching at the beads due to narrower rims if that'...

Re: What to do on bank holiday Monday?
Shame you're not in the states, I have a pair of stock rear shocks with just over 1k on them. Yours if you pay the shipping free. To the UK it might be cost prohibitive

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
Doesn't matter if they unscrew or not, the oil is changeable obviously. When you install the PDD valves you'll need to change the oil. I chose Motul 15w over the stock 10w. If you need a better explaination as to 'how to' PM me and I'll give you my ph number. 10 mins on the phone saves reams of back...

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
Some forks have screw tops, others are a plug held in with a circlip. The damper rods have to be drilled out to pass enough oil to let the PDD valves take over damping duty, in effect making the damper rod redundant.

Re: Can the seat be replaced or lowered on a PCX 150 2017
Seat number 7 from Bikerzbitz uses a non standard seat pan, and is lower at the front. Glen has a comparo pic of before (stock) and after (seat 7). You can see it for yourself on his build thread. You lose a bit of luggage space because of the lower base. http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&am...

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
Hey Apache. I'm not having any luck searching the forums for YSS fork valves. Are they hard to install? Are they available in North America? Thanks! Yeah, not easy to find. A seller from the UK has them, he's on ebay in the states too though. They are also known as PDD valves. Installation is easy ...

Got mine off ebay from Taiwan, did you try that?
Also get the NCY 13g rollers but check first, the 13g work perfectly with 2013-2016 for sure

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
Fit and finish is excellent. Performance wise they are about even with a revalved PCX fork (stock with YSS fork valves) so damping is better especially at speed. However the spring rate is a bit soft. I'm going to install the YSS uprated springs from the other forks and that will be a winner. I trie...

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
Heres a pic of the mirrors sand mods. Not a fan of the 'Tribal'/'edgy' backplates so used the carbon backs from my old ebay mirrors. The fasteners on these were also fake so had to be drilled out. As can be seen from the stalks after modding removed about 5/8" near the ends, changed the hinge b...
