So PolyWatch? Is this going to get through...? Yup. . .we read you loud and clear. . .no technical difficulties on your transmission. . .the planet has been advised. . .the stuff is sold on Amazon too! There's YouTube videos about using it as well. . .. Good tip! :D However, I do tend to wear short...

Re: Winter riding tips?
Don't wear flip flops when you ride. Not only is it bad on your feet if anything happens (such as an accident), but if the strap on your flip flop breaks while you are riding it will take your attention away from the road. Ride for the accident, not for the "fun-in-the-sun". Sorry Mel, I’...

Re: My 2016 PCX 150 (Cambodia)
how does the pcx handle with that many people abord It's hard to tell with all those people on board but I'm pretty sure that's not a PCX :D And what's with the guy wearing a helmet while making what I assume are his wife and kids go without? Probably won't be winning Father of the Year any time so...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
Storage Capacity I'm not sure of the exact specs for the underseat storage of my SMAX compared to the PCX (anyone know the exact liter or gallon rating of both?) but it seems to be roughly the same as my old 2015 PCX. It can hold my XL full face Iron Man helmet (as seen in my vid above) and it passe...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
I think Suzuki should come out with a 150cc class scooter in the USA to more directly compete with the Honda PCX 150 and Yamaha SMAX. I sat on a Burgman 200 about a week ago and couldn't believe they wanted $4,999 for it. I suppose the bigger engine makes it more capable on the highway and it looks ...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
I've amended my chart below to include the Suzuki Burgman 200 and, just for shits and giggles, the 541 pound, 105 mph, 582 cc, $9,270 Honda Silver Wing (the 2013 model which I believe was the last Silver Wing sold in the USA). Clearly I have no life :D ................................Front.............

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
One last note. . .those Yamaha front and rear disc brakes work fantastic don't they? They nailed it on that engineering. :geek: Oh yeah, the brakes on the SMAX are really good, maybe the best brakes I've ever had on a two wheeled vehicle. It sucks that we have to step up to the 300cc class XMAX to ...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
I just got done watching the night video. . .your camera works great. :D Your opinion about the head light on the SMax sort of echoes my view of the 2018 Zuma headlight. :geek: Yeah my old GoPro still works pretty good - I notice things now watching that video that I didn't realize when riding, nam...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that I'm really impressed so far with the quality and fit/finish of my Taiwanese made SMAX. It's definitely up to the level of my old Vietnamese made PCX 150. X2 :D As an added note if you ever get a chance to ride it with a passenger it would be intere...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
Thanks for the great video! I was impressed that the under seat storage area could handle that extra large FF helmet. And it will go 70+ consistently with more throttle left on the expressway too? Wow! 8) I can see that your Christmas is going to be much better today now that you have your new SMax...

Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150
Took my new 2018 Yamaha SMAX for a Christmas Eve ride and made a vid where I give my thoughts on how it compares to my old 2015 Honda PCX 150. I also do some testing on the highway from about the 24 to 38 min mark where I hit a top speed of 82 (indicated) mph - probably not the best way to break it ...

Re: Nice Review of the New PCX
The first 5 seconds of the first video is my 'urban hell'. Exactly the same over here in Cambodia. It's very interesting that they changed the combi-brake to the front lever. Anyone want to take a guess why? Are you 100% sure that the left lever (rear brake) lost its CBS function on what I'll call ...

Re: Is 2019 Honda PCX California Freeway Legal? (min 150 cc)
The turn signals on the s and xmax are hideous, imo, replaced mine with a small LED dagger that is very bright....from amazon. That looks waaaay better than the pumpkins! Are the ones in this link below what you got? Did you get the recommended adaptor/spacer and relays? Ultimately I want to get th...

The only mod I do for winter riding is to wear closed-toed shoes instead of flip flops - my toes don't like sub 80 degree weather

Re: New specs electric PCX released!
Extended wheelbase and PCX series-first rear-hugger allows housing of the mobile power packs in what was the PCX’s luggage box o_O That's all I needed to nope out on this bike Agreed, I would have little use for a scooter with no underseat storage. But I doubt we'll see that in the USA anytime soon...

Re: Is 2019 Honda PCX California Freeway Legal? (min 150 cc)
When I bought the Zuma 125 I did sit on an SMax. What I first noticed was the ergonomics. The seat was comfortable. . .more comfortable than the PCX. . .at least for me. . .but the knee room felt a bit limited. It wasn't obtrusive but it wasn't abundant either. With more time and analysis I think i...
