Re: iPhone X
Android had facial recognition, and knew when you were looking at the screen, a number of years ago. Of course apPle slaves won't know this because they're programmed to be unable to touch any other phone. In our house we just buy the latest Moto G for about £160 and save ourselves millions of pound...

Re: Office-friendly riding footware
I buy Clarks Goretex boots when they have a sale on. Much cheaper than bike-specific boots, the urban versions of which offer little if any protection over normal boots.

No mention of Cat Stevens in the article, so you needn't worry with your bias.aguim wrote:The Independent, oh my. They'd have their throats cut that they'd thank Allah. Big fans of
Cat Stevens the jihad convert, by the way.

Re: I didn't know scooter thefts were such a problem in the
After reading that article I still had one question on my mind. The biggest factor in murders in New York City has been guns. Just about every gangster wanna be in that city knows that having a gun brings respect, or so they believe. Getting a gun illegally seems to be easy there. Almost every murd...

I just saw this report, so you riders in London, Please be careful. It seems that violence is increasing everywhere, not just in the USA. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5566689/London-murder-rate-overtakes-New-York-time-including-11-killings-just-16-days.html Beware of reading the Daily Ma...

Vehicle security.... I worked once at a psych hospital as a veteran co-therapist - was walking with a Vietnam veteran down to breakfast one morning, and he glanced out the front door to see that his souped-up Nova was still unmolested by the neighborhood thugs. He'd lost two batteries so far. "...
Re: Security
I have a £25 wifi camera watching my bike all night long, recording and sending alerts to my phone.
Re: Security
That's expensive. I use this https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/55990?r=GS&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnfLVBRCxARIsAPvl82EBYnjnaSpD_154B1Xy2b175t9FjGPxNoYia11tLNq2c524LXRp1RIaAk95EALw_wcB for the odd times that I need to chain the bike to something. Better to stipulate on your insu...

Re: New Forza 300 2018 is coming!
I like the new design and would buy one if it comes to America. I felt my 2017 pcx was too small for the rural roads. My 2014 forza is the perfect size and very comfortable to ride. I think the 650 silverwing is too big and expensive. So, Honda needs to start selling the new Forza in the USA. You d...

Re: New Forza 300 2018 is coming!
I'm pretty sold on the new Forza 300. Registered my interest with Dobles Honda and hoping to test ride one as soon as they become available. I'll hang on to my present Chinese auto until then, but if it's as good as I think it will be, I'll be buying one of the first ones in the UK. 8) https://www....

Re: Screens
I've bought and fitted the Honda screen, but it is very big and I've been trying to find a smaller replacement screen to fit the supports. The only one I've found is this Kappa: https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/KD1143S-Windshield-Smoked-Honda-Sh300i-2015/1783041552?iid=183024500022 . Mr Paul, could you tel...

Re: Question to the board...
Its not the world, its just the USA. gn2, I'm sure you understand that there always have been large numbers of Americans who deride the NRA for refusing to push for a ban on the purchase of military style semi-automatic weapons. More Americans are increasingly ridiculing supporters of the NRA..and ...

Re: Question to the board...
I remember the last school shooting in the UK, in the country GN2 lives in. It resulted in our ban on hand guns. We shouldn't give up, wrongly assume that this is how it has to be, and then have to respond accordingly. I accept that the USA is a unique environment and culture, and that how things lo...

Re: Question to the board...
It is sad that the world has come to this, and we can discuss the possible solutions all day, but in the end all of us just want safety for ourselves and our family, whether we are in one country or another. It is just sad that there are real threats of any sort in places we all use to consider saf...

Re: Freeway riding
Flyingzonker amd Whitenoise - I definitely have thought about a bigger scoot, even more so after reading many of the thoughtful comments from yourselves and others. My hesitation is that once I get into SF, I’ll be hitting many destinations throughout the city, making housecalls to clients. So, par...

Re: Freeway riding
Ok, time for a reality check. On the Golden Gate bridge there are crosswinds. The PCX 150 is a light bike with a maximum speed of 64 mph. The crosswords are bad when you are behind and beside a semi truck. Imagine that combined with the winds that blow on the bridge. Good luck holding it in your la...
