I can't wait to read your first ride report - you're going to love it, no question. It's a great scoot with a great seat. It's quick and it's fun 8)

(Sorry, I've just done your report for you - all you need to do now is add the pics :D )

I guess that you've already had a look at this thread over on advrider but, if not, it's only 104 pages (at the moment) :D

This is the one that I bought. Delivery from the US didn't take that long and there were no taxes to pay either.

Re: Ice and a very near miss.

Really glad that you came through it relatively unscathed. Bet that the bike looks a bit untidy though. We've had a lot of cold weather this winter and I guess that it was just bad luck that you hit that ice. Nothing you could do about it, of course, but yes, you'd be glad to get back to your family...

Just a small point re the Xmax - I found that the footboards were a little tight for space if I wanted to bring my feet back, although I just might have big feet

Re: Yam XMAX-anyone got one? Opinions?

I wouldn't worry too much about the Forza not being available - the XMax is a great scoot too. I only went for the Forza due to the slightly lower seat height and the electric screen but I really enjoyed my test ride on the Yamaha. Hard to fault it.

Re: Image associated with scooter riding

It's so easy to sell an "image" to people. Most of them are struggling to work out who they really are and therefore following the crowd is the simplest solution. Makes them feel part of "it". I can't blame them as insecurity is fairly widespread these days - an advertisers dream...

Re: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Twin - 2018

The Interceptor will definitely appeal to those folks currently looking at buying a secondhand Bonneville and that should, in time, deflate the Triumph prices. If so, my money would definitely be on the Triumph. I've owned two Bonnies and can tell from looking at close up pics of the RE that the dif...

Re: A small problem about the keyless...

If the key loses connection with the bike during a ride (could be deep in a side pocket of your jacket, for example) then the symbol will start to flash. Similarly, if the engine is running and you walk away from the bike it will start beeping. There are probably other variations built into the syst...

Re: ~ Soon to Own a 2019 PCX ~

I explored winding country back roads and found all manner of interesting things you just don't see blasting along on a big bike. Moving to the Forza I lost the "spontaneity" of the PCX which is a bike that you can really gel with and go/stop anywhere almost without thinking. The Forza is...

Re: ~ Soon to Own a 2019 PCX ~

If you come from a warm climate then I don't think that you'll need a taller screen. It's of benefit in the UK, of course, but not essential. Not many companies have screens for the 2019 model anyway so take your dealers advice and try running with stock for a few miles before you buy.

Re: I think I need some opinions on this

At least you have a pain specialist who understands your condition and knows what you're going through. I've never had to use their services myself so not sure how they can help but they must be aware of the difficulties the new regulations bring. To an outsider, dropping from 120 to 90 doesn't soun...

Well, yes, they are the modern version which Dunlop brand as the K82 (or TT100 K82). Really good performance too, even in cold/damp conditions.

Re: Forza Top Box

It's actually a CB250 G5 (never sold in the US). Had it out today, as it happens, and it runs superbly and sounds great too. Very strong up to the high 70's but then starts to run out of puff, although pretty brisk for a 45 year old bike! https://i.postimg.cc/zBCvBxZr/IMG-20160818-143626019.jpg http...

Re: Yamaha SMAX vs. PCX 150

Nope, the headlamp on the Xmax 300 is described in the owners manual as not user serviceable. Its enough to put me off ever buying one and I wull now be making sure any bike I buy in future isn't blighted by this ridiculous arrangement. The Forza could well be the same. Just looked at my owners man...
