Re: 40,000,000 cans of STP
Amen! And don't forget Marvel Mystery Oil!!! :D It really does dissolve carbon deposits and free up frozen motors that have just plain sat too long. . .. Usually just pouring some down the spark plug hole and letting it set for a few days will work but then there are those who take it to a who...

Re: Make-Shift Variator/Clutch Holding Tool for Torquing Nut
In the notes under the video the guy mentioned getting an extra long bolt that you can use just for the purpose intended and not have to worry about bending one of the OEM ones. If it were me I'd paint the head a color so I'd remember what it was for and throw it in the tool box for next time. . .. ...

Re: Got a speeding ticket on my PCX.
I noticed while scrolling though the replies there is a pic of a clusterfuck at the speedway, smoke and cars everywhere; presumably a demolition derby. Which begs the question, why is it on my thread about getting pulled over on my PCX? Is this how you assume I drive? No. . .of course not! :D The t...

Make-Shift Variator/Clutch Holding Tool for Torquing Nuts
I saw this video tonight when I was looking for information about my Yamaha Zuma 125 and thought it may be useful to anybody who has a scooter with a similar variator and clutch cover layout that needs to torque the nuts but doesn't have a factory made holding tool. That said, and due to the configu...

Re: Low side crash at 10mph. Anything major to worry about?
Any "get off" is devastating but coming away from it uninjured or in reasonably good health is number one! Sounds like you are OK. . .. That is the good news! :D About the PCX. The not-so-good news. . .. A fair amount of body panel damage. A real Bummer. . .. :( Yes it will cost time and $...

Re: Why so much lag?
No lag problems for me on this site. . .. But generally I've noticed a slow up in performance certain times of the day or in certain seasons. Don't ask me why but when the "Summer People" are down things seem to slow up a bit. The cottages fill up and there's just more people trying to use...

Re: Front Suspension Degrade
Tire pressure came to my mind. . .. :o But if that is OK as you stated then the steering head bearing would be something I'd consider looking into as others have mentioned. It makes good sense to make sure the fasteners are properly tightened as well. It's amazing the pictures you can get with a cam...

Re: May Be Moving On from the PCX
Its the much awaited new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 which will be having its global launch in California this September. Wow. . .nice! I've got to get out more often. . .had no idea. Still thought all we had on the showroom floors here were Enfield 500 Bullets in various versions. . .the militar...

Re: May Be Moving On from the PCX
grin to a very high level: Nice bike but it's got me stumped. I'm going to my "Encyclopedia of the Motorcycle" to see if I can find a match. I thought maybe Royal Enfield at first but just not sure. It does look like a 650 twin. . .maybe Amal Carbs? It's a right hand shift so thinking Bri...

The Genuine Buddy is indeed a familiar site in Chicago. The 125 was a blast to ride from what I've read.
