Re: 2013 PCX Dash Lights stopped working

The LEDs are definitely bad. I can't replace them as they are surface mount LEDs and I don't have the necessary tools to do that. The whole dash assembly would have to come apart. Looks like an LED mod is in the future. I have some cool purple ones coming in soon. Excellent. Give an update, and pos...

Re: Valve clearances on a new 2018 PCXneeded adjustments

Nothing special.....oil changes @ 5k intervals ..........air filter replace @ 15 - 20 k . 3 Variators boss w/new rollers/slides. Replaced the clutch bearing. Drive belt 3 times. High/ low beam wire and switch replaced. Think mpg has improved because of summer blend [fuel] and the extreme hot weathe...

And make sure the key is in the right position. It still catches me out sometimes.

That's a fair mileage, it'd be interesting to know what you have done routinely and otherwise.

Might not be anything wrong as such, just something vibrating in sympathy with something else like the transmission operating.

Re: Valve clearances on a new 2018 PCXneeded adjustments

Have to agree with Retry. Set em and forget em. Bought my 2013 PCX with just under 2100 miles. Have yet to check valves. Currently have 49,928 miles on it. Planned to check them when it started acting up. Never did. Experiment continues. Excellent. The only time I'd check them would be if the bike ...

Stand in front of the bike. Grip the front wheel with your legs. Hold the handlebars and bend to correct.

Re: Coolant in engine?

I think I wouldn't use the bike and either get on to your garage or drain the sump, see what was in it and replace.

Has your coolant level dropped and is it red?

Re: Coolant in engine?

Main causes of coolant in engine (in no particular order) are failure of waterpump mechanical seal, crack in cylinder casting, leaking cylinder head gasket. Have you had an oil change recently? Could be someone has put the wrong type of oil in. I've never seen red engine oil like that. Fork oil yes...

Re: Oil change

I agree.

Since its under a litre you can just scrounge up a large syringe, attach a piece of tube and you are away...

Make sure the engine oil isn't hot. Slightly warm helps a bit
