Re: storage box acts like a parachute......

Maybe try taking off all of the Beer Lao inside that box?

Kidding aside, it's quite difficult to figure out what's going without seeing your box as well. Show us the box maybe?

It's not supposed to happen with a correctly installed rear box.

Re: Stock OEM Roller Weight?

Short answer is 15 grams. I remember the time when the Honda dealer put weights for the older models in my PCX, I immediately felt something was amiss. Heavier rollers will make your PCX sluggish off the start.. For your requirements, sounds like 14 grams or 13 grams is ideal. But all this also depe...

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

Remove the cover, since you've already removed all the bolts, and see if there's something wrong on the other side.. I wouldn't suggest buying a new cover and just instantly install it, better check what's going on inside that variator. By that look of it, it haven't been opened for a long time. May...

Re: Idle switch not working

Althought this fault could be many things, battery volts alone do not mean idle stop will work properly - the ECU has a staggered graph it works to and if it believes the battery is not up to the task, idle stop is disabled. Honestly, no idea why people bother with it for the very small savings. Ye...

Re: Idle switch not working

Checked the battery to make sure it's really shot before I buy a new one. Results: Standing charge rsz_1rsz_img20200606184017.jpg Didn't go below 10V upon cranking and idling voltage is fine rsz_img20200606184102.jpg Methinks the battery is fine. Or do I also need to check the Amperage? Although Im ...

Don't fix it..do away with it.. Nothing but a headache and serves no meaningful purpose. Just another problem waiting to happen..Murphy's law !Wait till it stops and doesn't turn on in traffic.. Have fun pushing and paying $.. As Iv'e said, I find it very useful riding in Bangkok. I’d put a new bat...

Re: Idle switch not working

Just done some research and found this post from another forum about the seat situation: "I solved the problem with a little bit of brain power, fiddling under the seat and with some black tape... Note that when you're changing your seat, there's a switch at the hinge. The seat will cause the ...

Can't be right, I'm sure the clutch engages lower than that. Almost immediately as you give it a little gas. Must be either the NCY or the lighter weights.

Update: My OEM parts arrived today; Movable face(US $31), Belt (US $11). The OEM face came with a pack of grease and an instruction that says I should put around 6 grams of grease on the bearings and inside the tube using the hole on the sides. rsz_1rsz_1img20200528173914.jpg rsz_1img20200528174439....

I've seen them too, mostly I think are made in China and they're easy to spot. But who knows, they might be locally made too.

Re: Chinese drive belts??

$112 Canadian with shipping, I would buy one if I needed another one. I don't think Canada charges any taxes on this item. I could be wrong, things change all the time. Is there a problem with fake parts in Thailand? We seem to have lots of fakes in Canada. Fakes are from China mostly. There are ma...

Wait, $200 for OEM belt? Try to Find sellers in EBAY that are based in Thailand, OEM are cheaper here. I doubt it will reach $200 including shipping fees, etc. for ex. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Honda-PCX-125-150-belt-drive-service-kit-air-filter-brake-pad/143580381431?epid=6008969672&hash...

Re: Chinese drive belts??

When it comes to belt I think it's best to stay OEM. Belts heats up a lot esp in longer trips and they need to be of the best quality. I saw a damaged one time at a shop, belt crumpled inside the variator cover, not sure how it happened. Also, not sure what happens if your belt give way while runnin...

Re: Parts question

Honda seem to give diff part numbers for diff year models but some specifications remain the same. Though, to make sure better check the exact part number of the year model of your PCX. Here's one site i found useful to check part numbers https://www.bike-parts-honda.com/honda-motorcycle/150-SCOOTER...
