Re: Premium brand petrol or supermarket fuel?
95 RON, which is "regular" here and the cheapest one I find around. 0 problems so far. I do the same with my -diesel powered- car. As some have pointed out before, it all comes from the same refineries, difference is the kind of additives this or that brand use. And they won't make a big d...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
So it looks like everything's OK. Glad to hear that. First serious preparation on a PCX. Congrats!. Just post the link :D Here you are, Sir :D http://www.forocepos.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=50717 Edit: If you read the entire thread, you'll see how this guy went through quite a few problems to g...

Re: What a washout!
Glad you enjoyed your ride and that you're building up your confidence. It looks like you're in the right path. Only thing I'd add is that you avoid white road markings as much as you can, manhole covers, rail tracks and stuff like that. They're slippery as hell. Learn to avoid them even on the dry....

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
Thanks for your answers ;) . Running lean is dangerous, but it looks like you have that sorted out as it looks with the clutch. With more torque available, it would have interesting (for me, at least) to have a longer gearing so you gained extra top speed, but as it looks like you're not interested ...

Re: PCX 300...?
Satelis comes in 250 or 500 and there are ABS options. Don't think there was an ABS X9 or Xevo. Affirm, looks like there is no ABS option on the X9, however... http://www.peugeotscooters.es/ficha-scooter/satelis/400/ Satelis 400 sold here. It's interesting to see how different the available models ...

Re: PCX 300...?
If you're going second hand then you can add the Piaggio X9/Xevo 400 to the shortlist. Quite true. Forgot that one. And perhaps the Peugeot Satelis 400, which, if I'm not mistaken, uses a Piaggio engine. Right now I'm trying to find out if those two had the ABS option available. It's a feature I wo...

Re: PCX 300...?
AFAIK there will only be an ABS model. Don't know in the rest of the old continent, but here, it looks like there will be an ABS equipped model, and another one without it. Just for what I've read on the net. I'm also looking at more capable alternatives for the future. So far the PCX suits my need...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
I'm still halfway through the "other" thread, so I guess you will excuse a few questions: - As qed says, standard head?. - What about the gearing?. More power should go along a longer gearing. How're you gonna sort that out?. I assume you have an aftermarket variator. - Clutch. Standard?. ...

Re: givi screen wind buffeting on helmet
Did you try taping or blocking the air gap at bottomof the windscreen to see what affect that had on your buffeting and noise? I did, Taz, and the answer is affirmative, to both noise and buffeting. I didn't tape it, but put the microfiber cloth I use to dry my seat when it rains there, properly fo...

Re: PCX 300...?
So, would it be correct to assume that the 5500€ will be for the ABS equipped model?. Then it would start to become interesting.gn2 wrote:Honda France have already announced that it wil be between €5000 and €5500 in France.
If it gets pitched at the same price as the X10 it simply will not sell.

Re: Humpectomy now done
It does look good. Congrats.
It looks like that hump bothers taller people quite a bit. I'm 176 cm (or 5" 9) and I can flatfoot with no problems on the PCX, and fortunately, the hump is no problem for me.

Re: PCX 300...?
special -and expensive- transmission New model has conventional CVT with no bells and whistles. It will probably be cheaper than the old model. If Kymco is selling a 33 bhp scooter, I wonder why Honda can't keep up with that. Kymco aren't, they claim 29bhp for their 300cc engine. In any case this i...

Re: PCX 300...?
That looks nice but I bet its at least twice the price of a PCX 125 :o I wanted to say this  . It looks nice, needless to say, but I already see some downsides. For starters, it's not gonna be cheap. It'll be a quality product, for sure, but it won't be a well-made, yet affordable bike like th...

230 kms. And I have a feeling that I could have gone a bit farther, but not much.
Re: Gangs
Now I’m getting the picture! You get to ride feet forward, I get to flat foot at the stop lights. Perhaps the average PCX rider in Thailand is closer to your height and has to lean his bike at the stops. I can’t ride feet forward because my legs are too long. I always wondered why so many complaine...

I have a lifeproof case for my iPhone 4s: https://www.lifeproof.com/ I bought a bike mount for it: http://www.lifeproof.com/shop/accessories/bike/bike-mount/ And that's worked perfectly for me over many trips and over 5000 miles. :) I'm afraid they just sell those cases for iPhone and Galaxy S3... ...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Couldn't agree more. Its only a scooter and its built by Honda, stop the angst and hand wringing. I don't take my cars in for servicing. Just change the oil at half the recommended limit and sell them on when they hit 200k Guess you mean 200k miles. My car is close to the 200k kms mark. Every time ...
