Re: 2017 Forza on order.

Beware of showrooms, indeed.

Went to the local Suzuki dealer for a 12mm crush washer for my Forza's oil plug ($2.00)... and
ended up with a $2000 DRZ 70, just because I found it irresistibly cute. I have no idea what
to do with it . Call that dumb, but happy.

Re: Forza Spanner Wrench; Original Windshield; & Glove Box P

Boy, were you in a hurry to find out!

There was no tool kit coming with my Forza. I have asked for the nice sparkplug wrench (no
answer yet), but couldn't give a damn about the crappy screwdriver and that 'thing'.

Re: Forza Spanner Wrench; Original Windshield; & Glove Box P

That spanner sure looks scary. I have adjusted the shocks a few times (soft gives comfort, but also spring vibrations) by simply removing the lower shock bolts, swinging them back, then using an ancient Yamaha - straight -spanner that I found somewhere. I'm having a look at the shop manual and there...

Re: Self-authored Honda Forza 300 Review

I have nothing to add. The Forza is the best bike I ever had (out of 24 ). So smooth and agile and, most of all, so utterly reliable (after a few free recalls, so what). Wouldn't trade it for anything else. I had the seat shock replaced free of charge at 1500km, still works just fine at 26K. The val...

Re: Winterizing Forza NSS300

[quote="Stormswift"]I am a new Forza 300 2014 owner. The bike was new, dealer leftover. I am used to winterizing my 1st scooter PGO/Buddy 150 cc with Seafoam. The 1st bike was 2009 and had a carb. Forza does not. Seafoam was great for keeping fuel fresh and keeping carbs clean but I am not...

Re: Finally changed spark plug at 34,000km

Very nice bougie at 34K. I'm just curious about the valves, though. How many adjustments? - by Honda's schedule, a whole lot of them... As I checked them on my Forza at 14,000km, the exhausts were .001" tight, so I went with the next thinner shims. Now at 26,000 km...and they are .001" LOO...

Re: 2016 Honda Forza 300 Starter Motor won't Start

I was looking at the Online Parts Fiche, I see the rear brake switch, try again in a few days. Here's a copy of the Forza's Starting Syst. Diagram, made as simple as possible. Current flows from the Battery...to the Relay, passing through all shown switches and fuses. As easy as that. On mine, I by...

Re: Valve check on a 2018 Piaggio Liberty 3V w/ i-get engine

No need to check rockers for free play once the cam timing mark (arrow) is aligned. This alignment forcibly correspond to TDC/Compression. This is true of many other SOHC engines with a 'top' marking of some sort stamped on the cam (like the Forza: one should simply rotate the crank till that markin...

Judging by your half-witted monosyllabic posts, this is not the place for 'seriousness'.

Anyway, me fed up with the troll game, so bye.

Re: I damaged my PCX

I agree. After years of loosening/tightening nuts&bolts, 40 ft-pounds becomes no big deal - by the
feel of it. I have checked this on cylinder heads numerous times, using reference marks.

But I wouldn't recommend the 'feel' method to any crappy wrench.

Impact guns, even the smaller ones, must be used with great care. Some people are skilled enough
to use them, some are not. Fell free never to use them.

Re: I damaged my PCX

Homie, be careful with that 240 tons gun, indeed. Might send the planet spinning the other way
around.

Other people have used smaller ones for years with no problem at all. It's just a matter of knowing how to use tools properly.

Re: I damaged my PCX

I have a rubber wedge that I use to open up the driven pulley, thus permitting an easy
assembly of the drive one. With the end nut snug, a few short bursts of 3.5A gun will
tighten it just good... provided you have the skill, of course.

Better to punch mark the crank, too (see above).

(I've been having big problems with that edit button for months - my native language is
french and errors come easy...)

Re: I damaged my PCX

You may have ruined the crank threads by overtightening. Personally, I punch-mark both the nut and the variator plate before removing the nut, then use those marks not to overtight that nut (using a 3.5A gun. not the bigger 7.5A one, with great precaution. Anybody not familiar with those guns can ea...

Our religion says, we were never born, but might very well die. From sin (having fun, mostly with
motorbikes and such). Grammarian zeal is our second worst sin.

Re: Why do I get better MPG when it is hot?

People DO strange things around me, too. Like, rear ending me. Happened 3 days ago. About $1,000 worth of plastics exploded in the loudest bang I ever heard. I saw the idiot coming, grabbed the bars as tight as I could, and miraculously ended alive, with just a few bruises. First accident in 50 year...
