Re: Replaced my spark plug.
Some of us have no mechanical talent. Some do. Some of us use too big a wrench on the spark plugs. Some of the Chinese metal is softer than it should be. Some of us are visually impaired. A good mechanic is rare these days. If you are good, I salute you. Whatever ....... it doesn't take a mechanic ...

Re: Replaced my spark plug.
How’s that? I’ve changed tons of spark plugs and never stripped or cross threaded any. How does one “break” threads ?davenowherejones wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 7:12 am Every time you replace a spark plug there is the potential to break the threads. I might buy an iridium and never change a plug again.

Re: Is this normal? Removed oil filter screen and found a hole and part of the threads missing
It's been awhile since I removed my screen .... first 2 times there was nothing in it so don't bother anymore. So I don't recall if it looked like that .... BUT the photo seems logical since the oil needs to 1) feed into the little housing, 2) pass thru the screen and then 3) scavenge back to the en...

Is the adjustment back at the rear wheel so loose that it doesn’t expand the shoes ?

Take it to a shop and find out how bad it is and what your options are. Don’t be surprised if they say it’s totaled.

Re: Another Great ride
I am not sure how far back you sit on your seat, but here is a link to a seat replacement, and if that doesn't do it, then try a gel seat cushion strapped to the area that you sit on. It should cushion your ride. I have one on mine. My wife sewed a "leatherette" cover for it that uses Vel...

Another Great ride
Another great ride. 60 miles thru the Pennsylvania countryside last Thursday, Im still at a loss how roadworthy a 150cc PCX can be. But I hate that d*mned seat hump.

Re: Road Trip
A Honda PCX, either a 125cc or a 150cc, is a great little bike for casual rides and city riding. It is not a freeway/expressway bike. It is too light to handle the fast traffic on open roads. Taking it on back roads, though, is ideal as long as you don't have to ride wide open throttle (wot) all th...

OOPS, never mind the (stupid) crankcase comment ...... should say "some vital internal" or whatever .... just make sure any epoxy can't get forced somewhere it shouldn't - same thing with any sharf produced from drilling or tapping that you'd do.

Re: Exhaust studs stripped
I've worked with plenty of stripped threads for studs, spark plugs, etc - but I've not removed a PCX exhaust so I don't know its specifics. That said, I'd add several thoughts. 1). Before using a Helicoil, checkout an alternative called Timesert - they install a bit differently and have different ad...

Re: Align handlebar and forks
This might sound odd and I imagine some may dispute and I don't care ........ but ..... after 50+ years of riding all sorts of MCs, I've learned to store a MC over the winter or any longer period using a center stand with the front wheel pointed straight. I've learned that many times a MC stored on ...

Homie's video on valve adjustment steps
Sad to find out that Homie's YouTube video on removing all the various body panels in order to complete a PCX valve adjustment is no longer accessible. Does anyone know how I can get a copy or access a version ? Thanks all. (Looks like all his PCX videos are no longer there - bummer.)

Paint your side & center stands a seriously awful color. Then when you put one of them down you'll ask yourself why you'd do such an ugly thing. Just hope you don't forget why.

Re: 2019 Honda PCX 150 Tire Pressure
Yes. But you might want to get a 2nd gauge and verify the PSI. They are cheap enough. Use the recommended pressure or something close to it.SantinoInc wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 7:42 pmShould the tires feel very firm at that those PSI? Like you can't even pushed them in at all?

Re: Kill Switch Corrosion
wd40 is a good start (WD stands for Water Dispersant) , but it's not a lubricant and on its containers doesn't claim to be. Others in the group may know of something better, but I'd just use some sort of spray oil to help lubricate the switch and prevent any further corrosion
