Re: Forza with extras for sale. Price lowered

Put the price and age and mileage here so we don't have to go to ebay to see it. We know what it looks like so you don't need a photo (you can send those to interested buyers). Your post is in the Forza 300 category.

Re: Keys, Keys

When i called Honda, they asked for the key serial number. I never received a "chit" or keychain with the serial number. That serial was etched into the 1 key i had. The only problem is that the first part of the serial looked like a "U" or an "O" but it was actually a ...

Re: Break in and increasing fuel economy

For a 2013, the last bar means you have .4 gallon remaining. Apx 40 miles to go. When the bar begins to flash, you have 20-30 miles remaining. I drove mine to empty one time and don't plan on doing that again. I found out that the size of the gas tank is exactly what it says in the owners manual.

Re: New PCX on the way!

Many dealers are moving back the 600 mile check. It is too early. For most owners, the 600 mile service was a waste of money. A small minority of owners were lucky to have caught the valves being out-of-adjustment. Once they had the valves adjusted, the valves did not need another adjustment for man...

Re: Earplugs!

@iceman, thanks for the tip about closing the top vent to cut down on wind noise. I will try that. My favorite earplugs are made of Soft Silicone. The local drugstore sells them cheap. You don't push them into your ear. You mostly mold them around the ear opening. When i used the earplugs that go de...

WhiteNoise, this is how you know where you "rank" on this site. At one time, people would drop everything to open a PM from WhiteNoise. Now they let it sit for months. Sorry that i have to be the one to explain this to you.

Re: New PCX on the way!

You will enjoy it. Pull harder on the left brake than on the right if you have to stop fast. Remember that the scooter won't start if the side stand (kickstand) is down. Changing the oil can be done in 5 minutes by yourself. What was the salesman telling you (in the photo)? It must have been very im...

Re: Might be time to say goodbye...

The ad is way too long. But don't change it. That approach might find a buyer. Put the paragraphs about damage to the bike (and laying it down) at the very end of the ad. As soon as i read that, i did not want to read any further. Your honesty is wonderful; but it is more like an ebay ad than a Crai...

Re: Replacing the air filter (2013 PCX 150)

Thanks to both of you. I just re-read the owners manual and you are correct. I don't have to worry about it for a long time. It says the spark plug should be replaced at 8,000 miles. Does that seem too soon? Car spark plugs can now go 100,000 miles.

Replacing the air filter (2013 PCX 150)

The manual says to Inspect and/or replace at 2,500 mile intervals. At the first 2,500 miles, the filter had a dusting of black over 1/2 of the surface. It did not look filthy. I replaced it. My normal routine would be to replace it every 2,500. How often are you replacing yours? What are you looking...

The Dr. Phil Show has agreed to have us appear on a special "scooter" edition. I left my turn signal on twice yesterday. I was 2 miles from home and wondering why something was flapping when i realized that i had not lashed my helmet under my chin.

Re: Coolant low after 300 miles?

You shouldn't be low on coolant at 300 miles. But a bottle of the premixed Honda coolant is cheap. The tank is fairly easy to read. Monitor it. You will get to know the pattern of fluid loss. The nipple (that is what the mechanic called it) broke off from my coolant tank. That emptied the coolant fa...

I bought one of the $5 vests that construction workers wear. Cars can see me coming when i wear it. I also bought a $20 mesh reflective vest for when the temperature is 110º in Phoenix, AZ and i need all the air flow i can get.

WhiteNoise, i just went out and tried pushing hard on the clip to see if that would make the center strip pop out (lie flat). I checked on the link you sent. Looks like they would work. The previous link by jge64 has the Honda parts. Bag of 40 for $5 US. Also available at a Honda car parts departmen...

I learned something about editing my posts. I took more than 5 minutes to finish my edit ..... and my time expired. Moderator Dave said that we can edit but only for 5 minutes after posting. I meant to write "surface" instead of "service" in my last post. In WhiteNoise's video, w...

Reinstalling the coolant clip

that holds the cover for the coolant (under seat). I have the owners manual. It was easy to remove. Then the manual shows 3 steps for reinstalling. 1. It is easy to push the prongs apart. 2. insert clip (easy) 3. lightly press down on center pin to lock the clip. When i try step 3, nothing happens. ...

Re: 2200 $ USD 2015 PCX a good deal?

Let them know that you will buy it for $1,500 (you pick a price). These scooters are tough. They can last for a long time with little maintenance ( i don't recommend that but it happens all the time). The scratches and missing panels will scare away most buyers. You will get to own and drive the sco...
