Re: I drank the koolaid, Hello! Advice needed.

I guess it depends on your definition of "light off road", but I don't think I would have chosen the PCX for that Duty. Maybe a Yamaha Zuma 125 would have been better? I will also be curious to see how you get everything you need for camping under the seat of a PCX150. Don't you use a ten...

Debadged the bike...what can I do to fill the body holes?

I had a sneaking suspicion that there may be pegs on the badges but i took em off anyway. Id like to fill them with something and all my pea brain can come up with is spikes. I really dont want to do that, but i cant think of much else.

Ideas?

Re: What is this?

All this talk about "what is this. . ." now I have a project to do. Time to build a mini flux capacitor and mount it to the fuel door!! Some strip LEDs, a controller and some inventive building and we'll see what happens!! http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/itti/?itm=225786646321_product_ty...

Re: PCX reactions: whats yours?

There are no mopeds around me, so I don't know. Harley guys don't acknowledge it. Sportbikers give the "respect wave" when oncoming, but do a double-take when they realize they've been duped. Cagers want to pass me and get in front of me, thinking I'm a moped and will slow them down. From...

PCX reactions: whats yours?

So I've had a bunch of oddball vehicles in my day, but this thing is taking the cake.

Mopeds are in awe, since it looks like a fancy version of a 50cc

Harley guys hate it because I can keep up

Sportbikers are curious

And most people in cars are mad because they were passed by a moped!

Re: I drank the koolaid, Hello! Advice needed.

A few years ago I nearly bought a TOMOS Sprint. They were only going for around $1200 but the word was out that TOMOS was going through some company reorganizations and they discontinued exporting to the U.S. market. At the end of the day I purchased a Genuine Roughhouse. Nice machine for the money...

How much spare electricity does the 150 have?

I just realized I have a set of led lights off my old super tenere that would help the pcx a ton, but I'm not sure how much spare juice we have to work with? Ideas?

I drank the koolaid, Hello! Advice needed.

Hi all! I'm an odd duck. I used to restore vintage mopeds (ya know, the pedal start kind) and at one point, road cross country on a 49cc tomos ST. Eventually I got a ruckus, and did what most do and modify it till its unrideable. Recently, I've been looking for a "bigger" scoot for daily u...
