Re: Our Christmas Gift

If you've ever been in a tunnel and a train comes through at speed, that's what it sounds like.

Re: Our Christmas Gift

are you still in the clear John? I know you've been in a nightmare, according to the news its not over yet :x Yes, thank you, we are perfectly safe, the nearest fires are over 100km away. Just learned this morning that a 12-tonne firetruck was flipped on its roof by a fire tornado. The truck has a ...

Our Christmas Gift

After months of bushfires, smoke and dust, and seeing nothing but a red sun, it finally rained last night, Christmas Eve. We got over 30mm (1" plus). It has cooled everything down and our lime tree and passionfruit look alive again. :D :D :D We couldn't wish for a better Christmas gift. To all ...

Keep em coming Fish. It's such a great contrast to the 110f were experiencing here. We no longer believe the sun is yellow, it's red here every day from the bushfires.

Since I have the GOP credentials..... thinking of tossing my swim cap in for POTUS 2020. Fish I think y...

A couple of years ago developers cleared a huge amount of land for housing near us, bulldozed every last tree on the estate, and then called it Forest Glen.

Re: Buzz from ABS

I don't believe it!!! North Lakes is our local shopping centre, we live 10 minutes drive away in Petrie. It truly is a small world.

I only know of one other PCX in our area, he parks it every day at the local railway station.

Re: Buzz from ABS

On a similar subject, some years ago I had a titanium knee replacement and it clunked like crazy. My specialist assured me it would be fine and I'd get used to it. He was right, it took about six months and now I hardly notice it. Except when I'm prowling around the house in the dark at night trying...

Re: Just Seems Like Yesterday . . ..

Thanks for your concern.

We don't have a problem with the fires, apart from the air quality being nearly as bad as Beijing.

The only other major problem is politicians still denying we have a climate catastrophe.

Just to offer a different perspective, it's stinkin hot, windy and bushfires raging just 100km north of us here in Queensland.

I don't ride in this weather either.

Re: Checking Valve Clearances WITHOUT Removing Body Panels

I understand what you are saying, but after five years on this forum, I don't remember many occasions where a PCX had a valve problem that proved fatal, and at 77 years of age even if I do nothing mechanically to my PCX it will still be going long after I've shuffled off this mortal coil :-) My PCX ...

Re: Checking Valve Clearances WITHOUT Removing Body Panels

I took my PCX to the dealers on Wednesday for a service. The manager asked me if I had ever had the valves checked, I said not to my knowledge as I've always taken it to them for servicing. He suggested it may be a good idea to have them checked, and quoted me $400 just for the valve check and adjus...

Mel, It won't be easy but try to remember the good times you shared. You made two dog's lives a lot richer. We have a 14 year old cat, and treat each day as a bonus.
