Re: ‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem

Do a check on the tightness of the battery connections, dirty electrical contacts, etc - always do the simple checks first before delving deeper in to the problem.

Re: Fuel capacity?

My 2014 model is similar. The fuel gauge is reasonably accurate down to half full and then drops like a stone to show below empty at 150 miles. I just use the MPG (UK) figure and multiply it by 2.5 to give a fairly accurate fuel range. I keep the trip meter on the screen to keep me informed of miles...

Re: Forza 300 accessory socket

No, not the one in the glovebox. I mean the socket where the genuine Honda heated grips are connected to when installing them on the bike.

Re: Forza 300 accessory socket

I know you can connect Oxford grips direct to the battery but I want to connect to the Honda accessory socket as it is much neater than having leads connected to the battery.

Forza 300 accessory socket

Can anyone tell me where the accessory socket is located on the wiring loom on the Forza 300 2018 onwards. I want to fit heated grips but I do not want to connect direct to the battery.

Re: Vibration at low-speed, SH300

Sounds like the drive belt may need replacing as well as a good clean of the driving/driven faces. If the drive belt has already been replaced, it still sounds like a good clean of the faces is required.

Re: Belt Case Corrosion !

You guys do whatever you want with your own bikes, I don’t care whether it’s behind a cover or not, I want the corrosion gone… This reminds me of a rotten wood wall painted with a fresh coat of paint; not on my vehicles. It's a design flaw as the plastic cover scoops rain water at the front which g...

Re: Belt Case Corrosion !

My Forza was a lot worse than the photo - poor design which scoops rain water from the front of the cover and traps it behind the plastic cover. Not worth painting the alloy belt cover it as it is behind the plastic outer cover. Just rub the corrosion off and replace the plastic cover.

It is a new Forza 300 registered this month. The "70" is the new registration in the UK from September 1st, 2020. The registration year number actually alters every 6 months in the UK.

Re: Changed my belt at 16,000 miles

Did you measure it properly? Put two straight edges on the sides and measure the distance between them level with the top of the belt. This measurement is wider than the belt itself. Yes! I did measure it properly - how else would I be able to get a reading of 25.7mm? I used a digital vernier gauge...

Re: New Forza 350

It looks the same and has the same spec's as mine [2020 Forza 300] :o with the only difference it has a 350 cc engine and different color combinations, it's a pity they didn't introduce the 350 a half year earlier  I would have waited and bought the 350 instead of the 300 ;) Honda would not an...

Re: Changed my belt at 16,000 miles

I have just changed my belt (Honda OE) at 13200 miles. I did it early as it seemed the best time to do it with the Covid-19 lockdown in the UK. I did not measure the width of the new belt but when I measured the old belt, it was 25.7mm, which is the wear limit of the belt as recommended in the Honda...

Re: 4 Pin connector for OBD2 device

The diagnostic plug is behind the right hand glove box. You have to remove two screws at the top of the glove box (you will see them when you open the glove box) and then remove the top cover where you will see the fuses and the diagnostic plug.

Re: Miles Per Tank?

I'm in the UK and I just roughly multiply the imperial MPG figure by 2.5 to get the tank range, which is more accurate than the fuel gauge. I find the fuel gauge is accurate to halfway and then it becomes totally inaccurate and drops like a stone, showing empty at about 135 miles when the range is r...

Sounds like bad fuel. If you have not used the Forza over winter, then it is a good chance that the fuel has gone off.

Re: Poor gas mileage with Forza

In Canada I get poor milage in the winter. Once it gets warm the milage improves. I am not sure why? The reason is that most fuel injected engines have a temperature sensor and when the temperature drops, the fuel injection system puts more fuel in to the engine to make it run richer - works simila...
