Re: My new Forza 300

I think you shouldn't be doing 90mph on a brand new bike out of the showroom as it is about the top speed and does require some running in before trying out for that speed. Run the engine in properly till the first service at least (it will reward you in the long run) - read the owners manual which ...

Re: Oil Capacity FORZA 300

1.5 qts (1.4 ltrs) is correct according to the Honda service manual. I wonder if the dip stick has been exchanged for a shorter one at some point?

Re: Forza Top Box

Is that an older Rebel sitting beside? Can't be a Rebel, P registration is 1976. Going by tank colours and exhaust pipe my guess is a CB250G5 with the right side exhaust off. Rebel name didn't arrive in the UK for another 20 years. EDIT: haha I was right, didn't scroll down... Actually, ther...

Re: Hand Guards

Barkbuster Storm handguards on my Forza (2014 model) and they fit to the end of the handlebars. They work well and keep the cold out. The part number of the kit is STM-007 and they are £49.95 from Chainspeed. http://chainspeed.co.uk/barkbusters-stm-007-universal-handguards-with-handlebar-end-mountin...

10W40 is OK - that's what Honda used to recommend before 10W30 was commonly available.

Of course it will be valid - just because we are leaving the EU doesn't mean that every dealings with them comes to and end. After all, over 40% of UK exports go to the EU area and that includes insurances of all kinds.

Re: Checking the Coolant Level

Sounds like yours might be empty. I have no problem reading the level through the little window. Give the bike a little rock side to side on the centre stand to make the level stand out more. That's what I do and you can see the coolant level when you rock the bike. If you can't see anything, then ...

Did you have both recalls done on the fuel pump? The first one was for the main body of the pump and the second one was for the pump lid.

Re: insurance on the forza / multi bike

Ive looked into multibike before, always worked out cheaper to get separate ones. It can be cheaper for individual policies but with Carol Nash you get RAC European rescue and recovery included in the price. You also get a free Datatag kit (if your bike doesn't have one - a lot of new bikes come wi...

Re: New Forza 300 - 1st Impressions

Most aftermarket companies now sell a bar they can go across that connects the mirrors, and you can mount anything you want as it's pre-drilled. It is for situations exactly like this. There are many on eBay that are much cheaper than this one, I picked one up for $25...... but here's a picture so ...

Re: How many miles / km on your Forza?

OK, added a few more km, 76657 km. I went from Hope, BC (elev 135 feet) to Allison Pass (4403 feet) to Sunday Summit (4213 feet) to Princeton (2298 feet) and back. To Princeton I got 87.5 miles per Imperial gallon but the return downhill trip recorded 95.1 mpg (imperial). It was a very hot day and ...

Re: Givi Monolock mounting kit?

You will have to buy the specific mounting monolock kit for the Forza 300. The monokey kit, which I have, uses the same mounting kit as only the top plate (which the top box attaches to), is different. You may be able to buy the fitting kit separately, without the top plate. Contact a Givi agent and...

According to the Honda service manual, you should also remove the left lower skirt and disconnect the two hoses behind it to fully drain the system.

Actually, I have a BMW G310R and I can honestly say that the quality is no worse than the Berlin built BMW bikes. The G310R uses parts from China (ABS unit for example) as does BMW for their bigger bikes. If someone had said 20 years ago that the build quality of a bike built in Malaysia (like the ...

Re: 2017 Forza on order.

Chances are it'll be the 350 Kymco Downtown engine and many of the other bits will be made in Taiwan and China. It will most likely use parts made in Taiwan or China but most bikes do nowadays. Suzuki bikes 250cc and under are all made in China now. The thing to remember is that it doesn't matter w...

Re: 2016 Honda Forza 300 Starter Motor won't Start

When I bought my Forza new in 2014, it had those kind of problems. I had to really pull hard on the rear brake lever at first but it got a lot better quite quickly - seems that the rear brake switch is quite stiff when new. It works perfectly now. I think it was the brake pads bedding in and not th...

I'm in the UK and have had both fuel pump recalls done. If yours is showing "no recalls", then the recalls have probably been done as the recalls would probably apply throughout the EU.

Re: Recall letter number five...?

Yes, brand new oem ones measure only 4.5mm thick. Then the compound is soft (compared to pads from other bikes I have here). They are rather cheap and can be changed easily in 15 minutes by anybody with enough skill not to scrap an exhaust packing (or two) doing so. The real problem is that pad's w...
