Re: tire changing woe with my PCX
I use 3 tyre levers, a rubber mallet, fairy liquid and a ratchet strap(tighten around new tyre once in place then inflate).

Dave is correct, i ordered a malossi multivar(designed for 2010/11 pcx 125) for my 2012 esp 125 and it slotted straight in with no issues for over 2 years....also gave extra top speed and acceleration compared to stock.

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a question related to the Malossi Multivar 2000 that has been discussed in this thread. The original belt's dimensions are 22x10x816 , right? But on Malossi store the PCX 125/150 belt (ie. Malossi X K belt item number 6114895 ) has listed dimensions of 2...

Anyone else having problems with their hearing due to long periods riding? I have been riding my pcx with an ermax +25 windsheild for over 2 years and since installing i have experienced a lot of wind buffeting and am now noticing a ringing in my ears pretty much constantly, the best way to explain ...

4k+abs extra..................OUCH!.....I was thinking of getting one of these but i aint paying that much! I only paid £2100 new for my 2013 pcx 125. Is an upgrade to a forza 125 with ABS really worth double the cost of my PCX?????

Re: honda pcx standard tyre lifespan
roughly how many miles did everyone get from there first set of tyres? im currently on 1700 miles exactly and have 1mm if that untill the wear indicator, the front is much better bit that also show signs of being well used. i didnt expect such tyre wear from a 125 scooter, will speed make a differe...

Re: Centre Stand Stuck
Just had my stand seize up(to the point that it would not fully retract) it was fine untill 2 weeks ago and got worse untill i couldnt fully lift the center stand to a "closed" position thus making it too low and it was scraping when i banked round corners. Allthough it was strange the sta...

Re: Changing Battery
Thank you! Dom't know if removing the strap will help, it seems the strap hook is what is holding it up. I will try removing the strap, if that doesn't work I'll use a Dremel tool and cut the hook off. i have just replaced my battery with a larger one that will not slide all the way in. I cant imag...

Re: The Best Variator, Pulley, Drive face Set
There has been a lot of discussion on this forum about NCY 13 gm rollers combined with NCY drive face and variator to get the best combination for top speed and acceleration. That set is what i am saving up for now. Could you post the link/links on the exact item your looking at buying? You cant go...

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
The lighter weights are the key to better acceleration. Not the expensive vario. This increases the pulling rpm to be closer to the power peak of 8,200. The 1st upgrade i did was 11gr dr pulleys in stock variator which did improve acceleration but nowhere near as quick as installing the variator ki...

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
The most cost effective solution to improve acceleration is to change to 12 gram DrPulley sliders. . http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=600 . http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3189 . The aftermarket variator doesn't help acceleration. It is changed to get longer gearing f...

Hi and congrats on your new PCX!
An aftermarket variator is your best bet. Lots of threads on this in the performance section.

Re: Keeping pcx stabilized/balanced at high speeds
When I 1st got my pcx I found it quite scary in strong side winds, I put this down to tensing up too much and since changing from stock tyre to city grips its seems to give more hold when the road is wet in severe side winds so feel confident now had no scary moments for a year or so.

Re: fuel economy improvements
With malossi's variator I have lost mpg. I have not worked mpg out but on a full(to the rim) tank on my 2012 esp I used to consistently get 110-130 miles, with the multivar installed that reduced to 95-110 miles. Did you use the same weights between the two variators, or did you change them? Becaus...
