Re: Polini high speed variator....... crap

Going to 8 weights as opposed to 6 like the stock Variator, you will have to go for non- OEM size weights. If you run 10g weights that's: 80G total If stock is 14g that is: 84g total in 6 weights... If that Contra spring is stiffer than stock, you need to go even heavier than stock. Chances are you ...

Re: 2024 Honda PCX Preview. By "Motorcyclist"

I see that the linked article said the clutch type was “Wet, multiplate slipper/assist”, which is obviously incorrect. When I see inaccuracies such as that it makes me question the rest of the article. That was the first thing I noticed. Start to lose credibility. I really don't like the different ...

Re: PCX 160 ABS works at what speed?

I dont believe any ABS system is speed dependant. It's usually activated when the front wheel is spinning slower (slipping) than the rear wheel where the speedometer senser is located. You can be going 10mph and you do a hard brake and the front wheel started to lock up which is when the ABS will pu...

Im sure they work just fine. Install them and let us know what you find out.

Personally, I stick to what i know (Dr Pulley) that last thousands of miles. I have around 5k on my current weights still look new very little wear.

Re: CVT slight smal vibration on WOT

You don't have to change the #8 (Final Gear) as well to compensate for the larger diameter of the #6 gear??

Also, Maybe some lighter weights so the engine spools up faster? 17g seems very heavy.

Re: CVT slight smal vibration on WOT

What kind of gains do you get from a 14t? I only ask because if its not that major, just swap back.
Im guessing you changed #6 ?

Re: Replacement front tire 2021 PCX 150/160

I run 120/70 Front tire. Rides great..

When the rear is done, put a 140/70 in the rear.

Re: 2022 PCX Alternator Output

Once you start to add stuff like amplifiers for sound systems and stuff like that you might to start having issues. But heated grips and vest is no problem.

I would still recommend if possible to keep it on a tender as much as possible. Keep that Battery nice and healthy.

Re: PCX clutch bearing issue

An old thread, but still current. My clutch bearing has been an issue since buying my 2012 PCX150 from the first owner in 2016 (bought in 2014) with only 134kms on the clock (his wife had plans to ride to work on the freeway, but soon changed her mind). The noise is now so bad (while pushing and id...

Re: Excessive oil consumption

If you are getting blow by (Which you should not be getting on a bike with that little miles), You can try a Catch can that goes where the dip stick goes. Lease that crank case pressure.

Re: roller weights

I have a pcx150 2016 stock standard. What rollers without changing variator would you suggest and would I get a little bit more top speed. You are not going to get much more top speed by just changing the weights. Changing weights only changes the shifting speed of the variator. You need a differen...

At first, I thought this was for someone with a disability.

So, is this simply for personal preference? Would love to see more angles of the kit. Where the articulating points are.
