Well...congratulate me...
I have two where one would do. I came across a smoking deal on a near-new 2013 PCX 150...so...the old rider's reflex...hand-to-wallet... $1300. I was looking at $500 in maintenance on my 125; and I can, of course, sell the 125. So...this gives me a little oomph increase. This model, the 2013, is, on...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?
Perhaps directed to PCX migrants who have upsized to the Forza 300. There's an obvious difference in physical size between the two (PCX125 / Forza 300) plus a mighty jump in power - particularly 125cc to 279cc - but is the Forza a completely different character in refinement, fit and finish and gen...

Re: Touring...NAKED!
If you take all of the panels off it might be an uncomfortable ride. I actually tried this a few weeks ago doing some maintenance and testing. Didn't last long. What an ugly scooter completely stripped! Might as well buy a ruckus! I kinda like the Big Ruckus - although it's performance sucked. I ha...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?
and found out that I loved riding smaller bikes. I met the nicest guy ever who not only supports me but shares my views and values too. When I injured my left hand, and was pregnant, I discovered that I liked auto scooters too, again out of necessity. Small bikes are...the road not taken. The backr...

Re: across the US and back on the PCX125... my experiences
I'm about to pick up my pcx150 tomorrow from someone on craiglist who is 3 hours away. I was wondering what people use to hold their phone. And how to charge it? I think I saw a USB charger in one of the pictures and an iphone mount. And a clock. What kind and how to mount? I use a Ram X-grip (http...

Re: Touring...NAKED!
My guess is, touring naked in Mexico is easier and safer than touring with money in the pockets. Which is another story - how to travel safely with funds. Often times the official and unofficial exchange rates are different; I'll have to check into how that's doing in Mejico. Crossing with cash is a...

Re: Touring...NAKED!
On to the tour. It obviously didn't happen last winter; now it's May...which means us scooter types...we travel a little slower; we have to plan ahead. Haven't decided on the state of dress of the PCX; but, given the work and cost of rigging a generic headlight, probably I'll leave it as is. But...t...

That's a nice setup. You just put them up against the body plastic?

Re: Touring...NAKED!
No no...just strap everything on and go...clothes, furniture, food, refrigerator, water...plenty of your own water. Should be fun trying to find anything after you get there. That's the other issue. Now that I've (belatedly) gotten a KLR trunk http://www.organizeit.com/images/buddeez-milk-crate-sto...

Re: Touring...NAKED!
I'm not picturing your problem here. Why would you need to strip the bike of its aerodynamic cladding so that you can hang saddlebags on it? I can think of one and only one advantage to this procedure: No one will steal your ride. In fact, no one will even think of stealing it. And...you will have ...

Touring...NAKED!
No, not me. The PCX. I'm envisioning the next winter, I wanna go south. I'm old (60) and want warmth. I have a couple of choices. No, Greyhound is not one of them. I can pack, with saddlebags. The plastic cladding on a PCX works against that. I'm imagining a PCX, strippd of cladding, with a headligh...

Makes sense. Mechanics is part science, part art. The science part I have down, fine; but the art element...I've never found my muse for the delicate stuff.

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
So if its running right and sounding right - leave it be? That's what I stick to with my PCX and all my other vehicles, and haven't had a problem yet. If the tappets become noisy then the valve clearance is probably increasing due to general wear, but if there is no change in the sound the clearanc...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Luther, was the dealer you took it to an authorized Honda dealer? The main important thing the first service is the oil change. The PCX will operate with the valves out of whack, and the operable range of the valves is huge. I think the important thing for someone unfamiliar with maintenance is to ...

Does the PCX 150 strut fit?
Either the stock, or an upgrade designed for the 150.

Re: Big guys on PCX125
It's an old thread, but I came across it. I'd gotten a great deal on a 2011 125...a thousand bucks and 1500 miles. Older guy who was giving up riding entirely. I'm six-two and 250. I fit okay with a pad on the seat and the butt-stop removed; but there's the occasional bump that makes me wonder what...

Re: across the US and back on the PCX125... my experiences
This is fascinating to me. I have a 125; and have put over 2200 miles on it. All of those in-town in nine months of ownership. Love the thing. Especially love the mileage. I have saddlebags jury-rigged on it, for grocery runs; but I love your tailbox, and would like to know who sold the kit. In Mont...
