Re: Fork oil checking
I would suggest that you buy a service manual for your Forza - available on the internet from the USA. The hex hole screw at the bottom of the fork leg should not be removed unless you are going to totally dismantle the internals of each fork leg as it can be very difficult to put the hex screws ba...

Re: Fork oil checking
The bottom of the fork has a hex hole. Is that an adjuster or a drain? The top of the fork seems smooth by touch. No big hex cap as far as I can feel. How do you get the oil in? 118 ml of oil is not much. Would 20 wt take my weight better or just make the fork slower to react? Do I have to take the ...

Re: Kevlar Jeans - any good?
I looked at various Kevlar jeans at a bike show once. It seems like most of them had kevlar only in certain spots and none of them seemed to have kevlar in the crotch!

Re: Fork oil checking
I agree but what is the procedure for changing the fork oil on a Forza? Also for my two hundred pound mass, what weight oil should I use?j.d.b. wrote:Likely be easier and wiser to look up what's supposed to have and how much. Then just change it and know where you're at.

Fork oil checking
Is there any way of checking how much fork oil I have in my 2014 Forza 300?
I bought a crashed Forza from a scary backyard rebuilder. The front wheel hits really hard on potholes. I know this is not my dual sport DR650 but it should not hit scary hard on little bumps. It is fine on smooth roads.

Re: Burning smell
I have had a few asian (Thailand) made motorcycles. I think they coat the engines with fish oil or some kind of vegetable oil so that they don't rust on the freighter coming to North America. The initial oil inside the motor seems to be something different.
Does anyone know what kind of oil they use?

Re: Forza looks like a Ninja super bike from a distance?
I rode the old Hope-Princeton about a month ago. I was surprised how much of it was still there after about 50 years of abandonment. The 1965 rock slide brought down half the mountain. Several people were buried forever. A lake disappeared. I went through there in 1969 as a ten year old kid and I st...

Re: Forza looks like a Ninja super bike from a distance?
How fast were you going and what was the limit? And I've seen people pulled over on Hwy 3 through Manning Park for simply doing 10 over. The enforcement level is stupid high for some reason through that stretch. Flood Hope Rd outside my house is a 60 kmph (37 mph) zone although it used to be the Tr...

Re: Forza looks like a Ninja super bike from a distance?
I went out riding today and parked the Silver Forza close to a couple of Ninja's and then walked a few hundred meters down the road to take a picture. The first thing I noticed was that I could barely see any of the motorcycles. We just fade into the background. Be careful out there because we reall...

Re: Put the topcase on today.
Has anyone tried a Givi 55 liter top case on a Forza? I would not be putting a lot of weight in it. I just want a secure place to put my $700 Olympia jacket and pants in while I go to the beach etc.

Re: Forza looks like a Ninja super bike from a distance?
From the front the Forza does look like a sport bike. One of the reasons I was drawn to this model is the sexy good looks  From a distance it might even look like a Hayabusa to those who don't really know the two models. I am glad I put on the tall screen and now I need to get the big top box...

Forza 300 tire pressures
I am sure tire pressures has been discussed here before. I have a stock 2014 Forza 300, I weigh 200 pounds with gear. I wear a lot of heavy gear I think because I am only 5 foot 6".
What tire pressures work best? I have tried what the sticker says but any other suggestions and why???

Forza looks like a Ninja super bike from a distance?
I recently had a visiting RCMP officer pull me over and give me a $196 speeding ticket. I don't think he knew I was riding a CVT scooter. He was going to give me jail time but I think he did not want to go to court for a scooter when he found out what I was riding. So, does the Forza looks like a Ni...

Re: Front wheel hits hard
I am hitting the little 1 inch rain gutter as I cross the depressed section of the concrete sidewalk as I enter a business. And I am travelling very slowly at that. If the forks bottom out doing that they're fucked. Also that would not dent the rim, you need to hit something big amazingly hard to d...

Re: Front wheel hits hard
Are your front forks working right? Not talking about the dent in the wheel!, but if at low speed it seems your getting too much of a jolt at low speed from the front, seems like the suspension is not working properly. That is my guess too. I bought the scooter used with 1200km on it but I have no ...

Re: Front wheel hits hard
If you are riding up standard kerbs you need to be doing it really slow, less than 5mph. The suspension travel is less than the height of a kerb and if you hit them at any speed you're asking for a dented wheel. Oh silly me, you've already got one. No I am not hitting 5 inch curbs at speed, I...

Re: Front wheel hits hard
Sounds more like a user problem. I sure hope not or my last 100,000 kilometers on all sorts of motorcycles has been a complete waste! I have had it happen 4 times in the last 3000 km. It is a violent hit when it happens. It happens really fast at slow speeds and it does not seem as if the front of ...

Front wheel hits hard
Forza front wheel hits curb going into parking lots. The other day I was going to McDonalds and it felt like the forks totally collapsed. I hit the little lip of the sidewalk really hard. I was going slowly. I looked at the wheel and it had a dent in it. I don't know if I did it then or a little ear...

Re: Cleaning belt case air cleaner
maybe the maintenance schedule is different for other countries. Must be. The 8000 mile service interval is one of the big selling points in Europe. There's absolutely no need to do any maintenance on a Forza 300 at 4000 mile intervals unless your riding it in extremely dusty or wet conditions. Fro...
