Re: 2016 Honda PCX 150 valve adjustment
Easier to just NOT check the valves on this bike all together. I'm not sure if ANYBODY has had an issue with their valves being that far out of adjustment to be of ANY concern. Even the shop I take my bike to when I need new tires says they don't recommend spending the time/money to check them unles...

Re: How-To Video: CVT Parts Removal / Installation
I was curious about the question of where to apply grease myself. I would say on both sides of the variator boss (I see people say exterior side of boss is most important, but I did both because I didn't see a reason NOT to, plus it appeared there was grease on that side (next to the axle), already....

Interested in this subject. My 2013 dash BACKLIGHT doesn't come on anymore. Wondering if there's a fuse I could easily replace without ripping the whole thing apart.

Re: Anybody in U.S. pay for Roadside Assistance that wasn't with your insurance company??
Funny seeing this thread here... I just busted a belt a few days ago on my way into work. Wifey had to swap the baby seat to my truck and load up the ramps, because I sure wasn't leaving it unattended on the highway for more than an hour. 8 months without insurance = $96 saved from not having Allsta...

Re: shuddering clutch on 2016 pcx 150?
I used to hold rear brakes hard down, then hold throttle wide open for about 2 to 5 seconds. That makes it very smooth. This is the correct answer. Just to clarify for others, need to hold the RIGHT brake lever, which is rather convenient since your right hand will be on throttle. I prefer to upgra...

Re: Just need to say I'm blown away that people doubt and refuse to believe the 21 can hit 85mph
2013 PCX will hit 74 mph absolute tops, *after* upgrading rollers to 13g (and perhaps another mod or two?).
Any modified PCX *after* 2013s will top out around 70 mph due to shorter gearing.

Re: Average mpg
I get about ~70 mpg when riding my 2013 model non-stop WOT @ 74 mph. I get about ~75 mpg when riding my 2016 model non-stop WOT @ 70 mph. I sure wish I could get better gas mileage *and* maintain my speed. I believe that a CTX700 or NC700/750 should actually pull similar mileage numbers at these spe...

Anybody in U.S. pay for Roadside Assistance that wasn't with your insurance company??
Geico is giving me the best rate for 2 scooters... But they require comprehensive (I think) in order to add roadside assistance. So I'm looking into Allstate's Motor Club and AAA and wondering if anybody else has actually used these service before? Allstate's is like $12/mo, but it covers ALL your v...

Re: My PCX just ran a 1/4-mile in under 20sec, y'all!!
The lag at launch is slowing me down. Will try stiffer clutch springs. That seems like a GPS issue more than your spring. Or like you just took your hand off the throttle or something. Pretty sure you'll see a smoother graph after more runs. Sometimes going back the way you came from can give diffe...

Re: Acceleration test
I couldn't remember the App that we were using on this thread, so I used a different one. It feels like the aluch performance has improved a bit. The best one was 5.7 s to 40mph, but it didn't save. I think I might be getting lausi GPS signal, that's the only thing that can explain the dips in the ...

Re: What's the best glue to reattach turn signal on 2013 mod
After 60 miles or so at ~70mph as much as possible, I can safely say there's NO WAY this thing is coming off from riding alone. Another knock like the one that took it off, however... I definitely believe it'll do better than that one, little, lone screw that's holding on the right side. I'm sure I'...

Re: What's the best glue to reattach turn signal on 2013 mod
Let us know if it works. My experience is that it rarely does. I think it's gonna work fine, particularly thanks to comecamino's 2 tips.... I ended up using a generous amount outside the stalk, because I didn't think inside alone would be enough (seemed like I'd get the same effect as glue on insid...

Re: What's the best glue to reattach turn signal on 2013 mod
Went with this choice. Picked up the 2oz container from AutoZone for $8, tho... as that's way more than I'll need for one turn signal.comecamino wrote:Use urethane adhesive
It's like black silicone...
Thanks for the recommendations, everyone!

What's the best glue to reattach turn signal on 2013 model?
Had this 2013 model with protruding turn signals for many years and never had an incident where they broke, until yesterday!! Looks like there's a screw or something that snapped, but glue should definitely help me out. See there any dos or don'ts when it comes to that. Thinking a shoe goo night be ...

I will be doing this test tomorrow. lol Where y'at? :-) I was in full tuck from start to finish, if you can't compete!! :-P Most of the time I've got my work backpack on with a couple pounds of tools in it, too... so not as aerodynamic as I'd like. I'll have to give it another go now that it's cold...

I've got 2 bikes. Original 2013 is still in the shop right now, not this newer 2015 has this bell --> https://theruckshop.com/product/performance-clutch-hub-drum-gy6-12-spoke/ I thought it had a checkered grip, but it's actually just grooves that loop the entire inside diameter. Re: Oil/gear oil
Why use anything other than what Honda suggests? The final drive oil comes out looking as good as it went in - so hardly has a hard life. I haven't changed my final drive yet. Definitely doing that very, very soon. But most people say that the STOCK oil smells like gear oil!! It's a pretty distinct...
