Re: :( So long PCX
You're right there are loads of generaic tuning parts for that engine but I'm leaving it the way it for now. Might condier a kit later on to increase the power up to 14bhp and spike the torque a little bit.

Re: :( So long PCX
Well I went to the dealer today to sort out getting the Sinnis and It's costing me £1590 OTR. Plus they are throwing in the 1st service free and giving me a nice new helmet as well :) I've gone for the Black/British Racing Green one. I'm buying the bike outright this time no finance deals so going o...

Re: :( So long PCX
Well just a quick update, The insurance company have been in touch and have made me an offer that I have accepted. I must admit I was pleasantly suprised that they offered me a decent amount from the outset and can't fault them for that. The police still have my PCX listed as stolen unrecovered and ...

Re: :( So long PCX
Well, I'm still waiting for the police to wind up the enquiry - still no sign of my PCX Don't think I'll see it again. Insure will then start playing the silly game of offering me a really low pay out and waiting for me to accept the best deal they'll give. On a slightly plus side I have been lookin...

Cheers Woolley, You appreciate what's important in life when something like this happens. It's just plastic and metal at the end of the day and doesn't have a pulse. Police put out an anpr call thingy straight away, but if it's in a van no point really. it's gone and nowt I can do about it really. I...

Re: :( So long PCX
Thanks for the support guys. Don't know about the insurance paying out, they try and weasel out of it any way they can. Don't really care anymore, the important thing to me was that my girlfriend was safe, they could have quite easily broken into her flat to get the keys first. I can't get another P...

:( So long PCX
As of midnight last night my beloved PCX is gone, I spent the night at my girlfriends, looked out of the window at 12.05am and got that horrible sinking hollow feeling. My PCX had been taken after been parked up against the wall and her car against that. The cover was lying fluttering in the breeze ...

I second that Woolley, You need a cover Dave.
If anyone in the UK is after one Argos were selling them cheap a few weeks ago, I paid £12 for mine and completely covers the entire bike.

Re: Unimpressed
gn, think I know what the problem is - Honda are binning dealerships like they are going out of fashion in the UK. 3 dealerships in the Newcastle area last year - only 1 left now. :( Something about Honda want them to order "X" amount of product upfront to boost figures and the dealerships...

Re: Bike for the Wife (and also me!) advice.
I've been looking at other bike options too recently, so the lists of A2 125cc bikes are pretty much like this: New: 125 varadero - £4500!!! o_O Sinnis Trackstar - £1500 (2 year warranty) Sinnis Stealth - £1800 (2 year warranty) Sym XS 125 - £1500 (3 year warranty) CBF 125 - £2500 - (2 year warranty...

Re: really need replacement fairings now
Woozy, Get your panels sorted and then buy some quality clear vinyl(Thick stuff) put it over the plastics carefully, follow the instructions that come with it to the letter and you'll be hard pushed to see it once it's on. That way when you have a "scuff" or other incident you can just pee...

Re: Slow Puncture..
the little scooter i had before my PCX got a puncture after about 1000 miles, slapped a tube in it and it was fine until I sold it nearly a year later.
As gn said it's not recommended but if it worlks and saves you £50.

Re: ...Saddlebags...
Only problem is the E231 is a top box mounting plate only and has a paltry load capacity of 3kg. if you wanted a different luggage option you'd have to adapt it quite a bit. You could always get a cutom mount rack made up using the mountings on the frame, a decent fabrication shop could knock someth...

Re: first service cost
I paid £75 for the first service, then £60 for the 2500 miles service, everythng has been spot on with the bike for the duration. the mechanic even siad that she ran well when testing her.
