Re: Best cosmetic improvement...
Same gradual system here (I guess it is harmonized across EU), but A1 and A2 has not only cc but kW limitations also. A1 can be acquried quite easy in case you have a B category it takes about 100 eur and 2-3 weekends.

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
However while checked the old (-2014) and new (2014-) parts catalog, I found that Honda has installed a slightly longer final drive in the new model. They have changed the counter gear from 54 (23422-K36-J00 GEAR, COUNTER(54T)) to a 53 cogged version (23422-KWN-900 GEAR, COUNTER(53T)). The above is...

The head you have on the pictures is a stock 150 head, or the Yumi special high flow, high CR one?

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
I've checked the PCX 150 parts catalog, and found "23430-KZR-600 GEAR COMP., FINAL(44T)". can you pssibly confirm this? How much tooth the original PCX 125 version has/ or alternatively how much longer the final drive will be after the change? If I1m not mistaken you've alrady installed ot...

Re: honda forza 300 - help from Italy!
Thanks Ed, I'll give it a try. Actually I just started to put together an opensorce HW based data acquisition system (have not decided yet on RasPi or Arduino yet) to collect baseline data for tuning. Would like to install a Big Bore kit also and need TPS, Coolant, RPM and O2 anyway adding a speed s...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!
Do I see a large valved PCX 150 head on this picture?
The coolant cap is stock, or it is the higher pressure version from Yuminashi?
Can you also please post the original part number of the 150 final drive shaft?
Thanks
Oya

Re: How long have you been scooting?
I still feel the mix of two stroke exhoust fumes and fog-rotten autumn leaves in my nose when my late father first brought me to kindergarten in '79. I was riding in front of him on the tank reaching out to the handlebars while riding his Verkhovina 50 moped. I'm lost to motorized two wheelers since...

Ed,
Do You think that your "poor man's JCosta"setup could work on the PCX125 also?
If so do Have any recommendation how to start finding the right setup?
Thanks in advance

Re: Brake upgrade
I've decided to go gradual.
As a first step ordered EBC sintered pads, an original size EBC wave rotor and new DOT4 fluid - as the bike is a 2012 and to my understanding the brake fluid has never been changed so far.
I'll try to make a few pictures and provide feedback about the results.

The buyer got hell of a deal even if he is just a half decent DIY-er...

Front spring diameter
Question to those who have installed new front fork springs. In case you can still find your original spring laying around, can you please measure the outer diameter and the non-compressed length for me please? I want to buy some front fork cartidge emulators, and I need the measurements to do some ...

Reaper
I've been thinking about retrofitting stuff. e.g. using a brake master cylinder from a larger bike, what mover slightly larger amounts of oil to increase the lever action.

Re: Brake upgrade
Chanisaw, thanks for the details and the pictures. Very informative.
Did anyone tried to upgrade the brake master cylinder to get a more aggressive "1 finger braking" on the front?
I've got used to a lot more brake feel with a lot less pulling effort of my previous rides.

Identification, Help needed!
As mentioned in my intro, I just recently bought a 2012 PCX 125. While planning the upgrades I've got stuck in identifying my ride properly. As per the vin number it is JF28 so should be non eSP -however it has the eSP intake cover and says explicitly eSP on it. It is definitely as rolled out from t...

Brake upgrade
I've searched the forums for brake upgrade or big brake quickly and seen no mentionable posts. When I was comparing the PCX to others I've found the brakes a bit less effective than some of the newer developments from e.g. Yamaha. As I'm looking into performance mods I beleive stopping power has to ...

Intro from Budapest
Hello Folks, Good to see this community biulding around the PCX here. I've been riding for quite some time, and then had to sell all my bikes when my first daughter was born due to pressure from my home boss to reduce chances of getting myself killed on the road. (I've had a few accidents both on tr...
