Re: Biker knocked down right in front of me by idiot car driver
So yesterday we were almost hit by a millennial texting while driving. We had a green light and were 3rd in line, yet the millennial didn't even slow down for the red light, went right through it with heavy traffic, and kept on driving and texting as though the rest of the traffic wasn't there! She ...

Re: Another Great ride
I am not sure how far back you sit on your seat, but here is a link to a seat replacement, and if that doesn't do it, then try a gel seat cushion strapped to the area that you sit on. It should cushion your ride. I have one on mine. My wife sewed a "leatherette" cover for it that uses Velc...

Re: Road Trip
A Honda PCX, either a 125cc or a 150cc, is a great little bike for casual rides and city riding. It is not a freeway/expressway bike. It is too light to handle the fast traffic on open roads. Taking it on back roads, though, is ideal as long as you don't have to ride wide open throttle (wot) all the...

Re: Acceleration test
I am not even going to attempt this, but my 2013 with NCY variator, drive face, and weights gives me a max speed of 75 mph, though I have 13 gm weights which will not be the fastest takeoff weights. I think those would be 11 gm.
My objective was more top end, not how fast I could get there.

Re: PCX150 Taller Windscreen
Keep in mind on ALL tall windshields that there are going to be some disadvantages as well as advantages to it. I have the tall Givi windshield on my 2013 PCX and I love it. However, when there is a heavy crossword you will feel it on the windshield. This is normal, and I would bet that even the Har...

Re: 2019 PCX 150 CVT Upgrade
Like Conelite said... I have a 2013 PCX and it responded well with the variator change, but as we have found by much investigation on this forum, after 2013 Honda started changing the gearing which eventually reached a point of change the variator changes alone did nothing to enhance speed. Leave it...

That is why I initially had my Go-Pro connected. It came with a waterproof case. These days you can buy a knockoff Go-Pro for about what you would pay for a dashcam, and it will work fine. It also comes with a waterproof case. https://smile.amazon.com/Crosstour-Underwater-Waterproof-Wide-Angle-Recha...

Re: Biker knocked down right in front of me by idiot car driver
Yes, my dashcam is a car dashcam connected through a usb port I have attached directly to my battery. The USB port has an on/off button. The dashcam sticks to my tall windshield by suction cup. I had my Go-Pro hooked up first but found it to be a waste of resources, so I went back to a spare dashcam...

Re: Biker knocked down right in front of me by idiot car driver
I have a dashcam on my bike. It has come in handy. Idiots like that driver don't think anyone caught his actions on film, especially if there are no other cars near by (only bikes). For some reason they don't believe a biker would use a dashcam.

Re: My First Accident :(
This isn't going to make you feel any better but statistics in the United States show a growing trend of under-insured and NOT insured vehicles on the road. There are multiple reasons for this, one of which is that drunk drivers still drive, even if their license has been suspended and their insuran...

MrNixdorf,
I am a little confused by your picture. In the UK, don't you ride/drive on the left? So who is in the right in that picture? It looks like that car that is heading toward you is on the wrong side.

Re: Stripped 10mm bolt
I can't guarantee that this will work but you might try this. Get a thin flathead screwdriver. Try to insert it under the washer. Then, while using a ratchet to try to unscrew the bolt (counterclockwise), keep pressure on the straightslot screwdriver and the ratchet so that the head of the screwdriv...

Re: Small storage area near dash will no longer close.
There are multiple fixes for this but your first responsibility will be to see how the latching actually works to determine if the latch assembly is broken. If so, then you will need to either replace the assembly or find a substitute for the broken part. My guess is that the top latch broke, so now...

Re: My First Accident :(
One of the biggest worries for a 2 wheeled rider is the OTHER driver. We can take all of the safety courses and be great on our bike, but we can not determine what is going on in the other driver's head. Yesterday we were driving to the store in my wife's car and noticed that the car in front of use...

I think the newly advertised Forza 750 will be Honda's venture back into the maxi scooter market.

Re: Honda PCX 125 stops while riding. Elektric problem?
Yes, common problem. WD-40 would have worked temporarily. The Kill switch gets water in it and then you have all sorts of weird problems. As for the mice, yes, they like bikes. When I bought my PCX it didn't make it home before it started having light problems in the back. I took it apart once I got...

When is a 45° angle not level...dah
So my wife wanted to start a little garden recently. Our back yard runs down hill at a 45° angle. Close to the bottom there is a fence that has collected most of the run off, and good top soil. I suggested that we put the garden there because the soil there was the best in the yard. She agreed but w...

Re: How to fix paint issues
I don't think I have ever seen paint chip off on that particular part. It must of had a rough time. If you are cheap you can put some reflective tape over it and call it done, but if I owned that bike I would replace the part. It isn't expensive, nor is it difficult to replace.

Re: How to set the light to auto shut off
Isn't the key locked into the ignition socket until it is in the complete OFF position? If so, that would mean that you are leaving the key in the ignition when you leave it. At least, that is how it is on my PCX. If you leave your key in your ignition and walk away, goodbye bike. If your problem is...

Re: Crash bars/highway pegs
I have yet to see crash bars on a PCX. I have no idea how you would attach them! There was at least one member on here who created his own highway pegs, and I think it involved some welding and cutting holes in the plastic. If you see a PCX with highway bars, please take a picture and post it. We wo...
