Re: My first Giulia !

Or was that Roseanne Roseannadanna?? Oh yes. . .see what you mean. . .Gilda's book. God rest her soul. You're right about that! I was thinking of George Carlin's suicide skit. . .when the guy was struggling with the cellophane. Morbid topic. . .but George had a way of adding humor to everything. :D...

Re: MiniMOTO World - Cub, Monkey, Grom

Good point . . . they are going to be reintroduced in limited numbers. Get them while they're hot so to speak. :geek: I see a lot of Groms in dealer's inventories. Only a year ago they were hard to get. . .now it seems they are more than abundant in supply. Maybe that is why Honda is taking a more m...

Re: My first Giulia !

I loved the bike anyway, and in 1980 I found another one stored in someone's old garage and I bought it. It started right up after changing the oil, spark plug, and battery. This time I looked for the electrical weak spots and fixed them. I used it throughout my college years and sold it when I gra...

Re: bunny collision - broken body panels

Nice job! Certainly beats putting Gorilla or Duck tape (Gorilla is better IMHO) on the panel interior side to keep things together. Not that that's a bad thing. It's worked for me in the past a few times taking short cuts bending panels too far thus causing cracks trying to remove a tank or get my h...

Anyone in the Market for a 2019 Super Cub?

Glad to see the Super Cub is back. Good advance reviews on it so far. Looks good and it's got that carrier to mount a top box on. 8) Honda sold tons of them in the past. . .then SYM had their Symba 100 version which is now out of production. The Super Cub. . .a minimalist dream perhaps? Less is more...

Your gasoline is fine, you're overthinking it. If it goes another month in storage, add some sta-bil from the auto parts store.

Re: My first Giulia !

It's nice that those exotic cars exist. :D And it's nice that someone else gets to pay for them so we can enjoy looking at them and listening to the exhaust notes and the vibrant paint schemes and envy wanna be celebs who drive them. They are living their dream and passing on an image for us to drea...

Re: Parking - Should center stand/parking brake always be us

I always put my scooter on the center stand when I'm going to start it from cold. Sometimes the rear wheel turns a bit on scooters when the revs are higher as they warm up from cold starts. Once they idle down they don't tend to spin so much. Half the time I use the side stand and half the time I us...

Re: Piaggio morning ride

We are in for an upcoming week of tropical, humid, rainy conditions. Not looking forward to it. Some areas are predicted to get upwards of 7 inches of rain accumulation during the course of the week due to a stalled weather pattern. Heat and sun will emerge periodically. The key is not to sta...

The right crankcase alone is about $100.

Bike Bandit has the PCX 125 parts listings for the 2011. :geek:

Re: bunny collision - broken body panels

Glad it's only plastic you have to worry about. Rabbits can get rather chunky depending upon where you live. It's too bad he decided to hop into your path but these things happen. You were fortunate that you escaped without injury to ride another day. ;)

Re: Parking - Should center stand/parking brake always be us

The parking brake is very useful if you decide to use the side stand in very windy conditions or if you think it could get bumped into by a passerby if parked in an area with a lot of pedestrian traffic. ;)

Re: That's not my cat! Nor my fear.

As of July 1st it is illegal to have a cellphone in your hand while driving. Keeping that in mind, I was out riding in our area a couple of days ago and every other driver had a cellphone in their hands! Part of my riding takes me by the local police precinct. The percent of drivers with cellphones...

Re: Elegant?

No. But effective, I ride out before sunrise - so I often ride home with a very low sun. My helmet has a dark flip down - but that darkens everything - including the sharp shadows on a bright sunny day. I prefer to ride into an early morning sun after applying a strip of painter's tape for a visor....

Re: That's not my cat! Nor my fear.

While we are "off topic" I mistrust my ability to do night riding like I used to. With the onslaught of the growing world population and the wave after wave of oncoming headlights on popular roads I find that my eyes can't adjust as easily as they could years ago when the roads were less t...

Re: New Honda Monkey 125

I'm thinking again....strip the cladding off the PCX...put a headlight on it...maybe some frame mods to make it less hideous and put a moto saddle on it...and it should be okay in your carrier...ya think? Sounds a bit like one of those Kymco Motorcycles. . .. 8) https://www.kymcousa.com/product-cat...

Just looking at those cats makes me sleepy. . ..

They do make themselves quite comfortable to say the least.
