Re: Lifespan of Tires & Battery
I just replaced the original battery on my 2013 PCX last week at 6300 miles/10,138 km. Both tires are still original; we'll find out this month whether the rear will pass the Texas annual inspection or not. The wear bars are visible but not level with the tread yet. Stay tuned...

Looks great!
Love the bars and the Akro pipe -- so much nicer workmanship and finish than the stock stuff.
Huge improvements; congrats..

Re: Seniors & shingles
Well, anyway, Fish,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention in the first place. I would never have thought about it if it were not for your OP. So now, next regular visit to the Doc, I will ask him for advice and a scrip.
Thanks,
Johnny

Re: Givi topcase on Forza
Go for it -- those things work great on a Forza and that monokey system works really well. I have a v47 on mine and it turned the scoot into the greatest grocery-getter ever. Are you getting the mounting plate with it at that price? Good deal!

Dangit ! Yep, I see the soft rear tire now. Well, at least you've had your quota of flats for the year now.

Re: Forza 300 gas gauge accurate?
I wouldn't try the tree method. It might fix the gauge, but it tends to be hard on the front suspension and plastic parts.

Re: Brake lock broken?
One possible reason for the need to readjust it at 100 miles could be just the normal stretching and breaking in of the cable. If you're going to take the scooter in to the dealer for the 600 mile service, they can adjust the brake lock easily and quickly.

That's good practice for when you're a geezer. Keep on working on those skills now; they'll come in handy later in life.flyingzonker wrote:

Re: forza mods
Strange mirrors. But to each his own. Recommend the CB500X mirrors if you want a mod - keeps the Honda look. Paint the inside of the stock short screen to get the Euro model Forza look. https://s17.postimg.org/lhgbbra5r/20150331_120914_2.jpg :-) Fish What on Earth is goin' on there, Fish? Did the m...

Question:
Is it true or is it not true that Shingles is related to Chicken Pox, and that if you never had Chicken Pox (usually as a child) you are not eligible to get Shingles. Serious question -- T or F ?

Re: Forza 300 gas gauge accurate?
^^^^^ What Dave said ^^^^^ Hi, 87112, Even the Forza gas gauges that work right aren't accurate at all. Almost everybody on this forum, me included, reports that their gauge tends to go to "empty" way too soon, so most of us have learned to rely on our tripometers instead. I start looking ...
