Re: Forza 125 Engine Break In
I still don’t see the problem… Hold it at 40 miles an hour for 10 minutes then go to 45 then go to 38 then go to 42… Etc. etc. etc.

Re: Forza 125 Engine Break In
Actually, the salesman is correct, don’t overthink this, these bikes are sold all over the world and a lot of people don’t do any breakin at all and they’re perfectly fine. Just don’t hold it at the same speed for longer than about 10 minutes, vary it in every now and then ,up-and-down the RPM band.

Re: Do you feel comfortable taking your PCX 150 on the freeway?
Of course, the PCX can do the interstate, but you are at the extreme edge of its performance, it’s just not a comfortable situation, every time I do it any urban interstate becomes something that sets me on edge. And although we talk here about the power being marginally Acceptable, the real problem...

Re: How long can I wait?
The general consensus of the motor vehicle industry is that they want you changing your oil every year, if it’s a low mileage. Condensation and other particulates get in the oil and need to be changed out. As for what do use, any general 10 W 30 or 10 W 40 oil will work fine. No need to get caught u...

Re: Check Engine Light
Disconnecting and reconnecting The battery should not turn the check engine light on. I’ve done it hundreds of times. I always remove the ground first and then reverse the process when reconnecting. The only way to quickly tell why the light came on, is to hook up a code reader, or take it back to t...

Re: Good day PCX riders - and a wrm greeting to you.
My suggestion is you do a few searches here in the technical section, and in the PCX section, it’s all been asked before, and there are really no new products other than what’s written here. Good luck, and congrats…

Re: Bits in the transmission
If I had pulled stuff like that out of my rear end oil, I wouldn’t be driving it anywhere. I get it towed to the nearest Honda dealer have them check it out. Or, if you have the expertise , it’s time to tear down that rear cavity.

Re: 2012 PCX150 Valve Adjustment
Yup…… I have about 8k miles on my Xmax and I’ve never adjusted the valves. Recently I had it in for a bad starter. I asked my Tech if we should adjust the valves, he said “ I’d be glad to take your money, but you really don’t need to do it, if it’s starting and running fine, leave it alone”… He’s a ...

Re: Master fuse to cut all power to scooter?
So when you come back to the bike and find the battery is drained you throw it out and buy a new battery? Why not just recharge it?

Re: Master fuse to cut all power to scooter?
A month shouldn’t kill the scooter., something’s wrong. I’ve gone as much as 2 1/2 months with a smart key system and it starts right back up. However a simple solution for right now is just pull the negative lead on the battery when you’re gonna leave. Seriously, think about it ……..Honda would not ...

Re: new bike from honda
I bought a navi a couple weeks ago and it is just a ball of fun to ride. It’s cheap, and has no state of the art features, it’s carbureted it’s drum brakes an air cooled. But for around the neighborhood it can’t be beat. Got it out the door brand new for 2400… Can’t do that with a grom.

Re: PCX did not even try to turn over after 3mo on battery charger
When a battery has sulfates and gone bad it doesn’t matter what kind of charger you’ve got on it, it will do no good. Take the battery down to the auto parts store have it load tested and voltage tested and you’ll probably buy a new one.

Re: Introduction and questions..l
You don’t have to baby these engines from 0 miles, just drive normally and use the whole power band -run it high , run it low , and never at the same speed for more than five or 10 minutes. That’s the only break you have to do. And yes , you can run a wide-open on the freeway all you want.

You’re fine… All you’ve done is move the power band around to give you a little bit more acceleration. For a PCX 150 most people here have found the sweet spot to be the 13 g roller…

1. Many people find a local upholstery shop that can reconfigure the seat to get rid of the hump, some here have done it themselves. 2. Givi and others make a super tall windshield, do a search here , many have done it. 3. It may get 1 mile an hour faster and settle in the low 60’s for top speed, bu...

Re: Considering Scooter or SuperMoto
Now the discussion becomes whether you get a scooter or a motorcycle. After having ridden motorcycles for 30 years and owning at least 20 of them, I moved to a scooter in 2015. I have never looked back. With complete ability to store so much stuff underneath the seat is so nice compared to a motorcy...

Re: Considering Scooter or SuperMoto
I agree, if you’re going to do any type of interstate work or longer than one or two exits, the PCX is just too underpowered and too light. In my opinion, interstate work starts at 300 cc.
