Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

One more quastion, takegawa camshaft have the decompression, yuminashi camshaft doesn't have. Using the uminashi cam, does it makes any troubles at start-ups? (difficult cranking, battery issues, etc..) ? Do you keep the "idle stop" function? I see they recommend to use a press to re-attac...

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

but here's the thing if your going to go big bore which is actually going to be cheaper, you'll waste money buy using this kit. i'm wondering if you can restrict the throttlebody / intake to achieve the same thing? You may raise the compression ratio using the thinner headgasket, and to rev it up u...

Re: PCX 150 and camping

Great photoes! As I think PCX is good only on the tarmac, and street-use oriented mostly, so to visit the mother nature it's better to choose some enduro bike. I saw a few pcxs equipped on the dirt tires in Samui, Thailand, but I see geometrically it is still not the dirtbike, you will ruin it's pla...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

In this case we have to understand the difference between the torque and the power. The bigger torque allows to move the car on the upper gear, but here, with the variator setup, everything is a bit complicated for me :)

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

I got just the yoshimura exhaust on my pcx150 2013, and I am thinking about the further mods, and I see anyway I have to mod the vario, you say daytona is smooth and might be the best. But on their website it comes only for pcx125 http://japan.webike.net/products/21431479.html. Will it work fine and...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

That's great news! Congratulations! I wish I have an updated 175cc Yuminashi bore kit for my pcx150, they say wait for it for about a month. The kit will come with a new coated piston and some changes.. Why do you think the Daytona vario kit is the best? Less vibrations? The best 0-100kmh accelerati...

Re: YSS shock plus more ....

...I think these YSS shocks look the best on a PCX........... The "upside down" shock construction is more effective, because of the less unweighted mass on the wheel. I also very interested to buy these YSS G-PLUS shocks, but I am heavy 115kg, and the G-EURO XXL (110kgs) seems the better...

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

It seems this combo kit works ONLY with the stock 150cc engine. The main idea of this kit is to rise the compression ratio from 10.6 to 12.5 (say goodbye to regular gasoline, only premium gas can be used), and to rev the engine at the higher rpm zone (I didn't see any numbers yet). The primary clutc...

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

I asked some quastions about this kit from Yuminashi, they answered: If you install the PCX150 2014 Speed Combo then it will have no issues with the idling stop function, so you will be able to keep using this function. You don't need to do any ECU modifications to work with the Speed Combo. The onl...

Very nice channel, by the way.
It is strange and interesting, why do the change the chassis sometimes? Are there any issues with the pcx frames?

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

I was riding motocross for some years, and I know that high-powered 250cc 4-stroke engines needs a rebuild every season, and the piston have to be changed after the each race because of the forced engine geometry, piston diameter, long stroke etc.. ! (as manual says). Usually the piston itself break...

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

Is Yuminashi a Thailand brand? Made in Thailand? The word itself says that it is a japanese one, but I guess it is not! I saw somewhere that their parts are not top-quality ones, they say yuminashi parts came with imperfections there and there. But performance-wize, they work more aggresively than a...

Re: leo vince exhaust

Earlier days I changed some exhaust manifolds on my N/A sporty car, Honda S2000, and I can say that the design of them is critical to the power curve. Some of them work only at high RPM and drop the low and mid zone, some like "torque kun" just rise the mids, the pipe lenght, the pipe diam...

Re: leo vince exhaust

Hello, pcx people! I just received and immediately installed the Yoshimura R77S titanium blue exhaust. Yes, it is an expensive thing, but I should say it worth it. The sound is not too loud, but with a very low frequency and aggresive sporty tone without ANY annoying rattles. The look of it is fanta...

Re: Honda Pcx 150 yuminashi upgraded head for 150 engines

Will it work with the 175cc cylinder? I am thinking about which way to go, 175cc, 190cc, or just this head kit. Performance and proven reliability are equally important. I like the mini-ducati sound of the big bore kit, so I think I have to move to the bigger size engine. This head kit seems was des...

Re: Yuminashi Upgrades for PCX 150

ITBs are hard to tune, and permanent control and correction is needed, as I know from my cars experience, at least you need the experienced mapper to make ITBs work right. When I see the Yuminashi product line, there is nothing said about the ECU mapping or any piggiback ECU devices needed, this is ...

Re: Yuminashi Upgrades for PCX 150

Hi, guys! Just got the brand new 2013 PCX150 eSP, thinking to modify it or not, my quastion is: does it worth it to install all the Yuminashi parts? Is there a real night and day difference? I think that one-cyl scooter will stay in it's class anyway and the changes are not that much noticable. I pu...
