Re: K&N Air filter Installation and Performance Analysis

GM specifically states that a KN filter voids warranty and that it can cause damage and poor performance. It was well known that the oil residue used in those filters can be drawn in and plate the mass air flow sensor wire on a car and give erroneous resistance measurements to the CPU hence resulti...

Re: Where to find 13g Rollers in Thailand?

If its for a 125 then the 11g ones will give you better performance so i'd go with them

Yuminashi Final Questions Before Buying

Hi, I'm almost 100% set on a Yuminashi big bore kit for my 125 LED and, once a few of my ebay auctions are done, i'll have the funds to do so. There seem to be 3 options though; - 164cc SPL Power Pack - http://www.yuminashi.eu/164cc-spl-power-pack-pcx125-led/ - 164cc STD Power Pack - http://www.yumi...

Re: How Well Does the PCX 150 Pull from 50 to 60 MPH?

Ironically, depending what 2 stroke you had you could have fitted a 70cc big bore, exhaust and carb for a modest outlaw and be running way more power than the PCX not to mention being lighter.

Though granted it wouldn't have felt as substantial on the open road, or be as reliable (maybe).

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

Give the scoot a week for the ECM to work itself out so it can make optimum power. I had to put my stock exhaust back on once to realise it was less powerful (everywhere). If 10.5g rollers are too light, you can mix and match with the 12.5s to make 11.5g combo. PS: I wanted to mention the clamp han...

Re: clever ignition key on pcx

Not had a problem with mine...maybe if I was doing some kind of old style Le Mans race with a "run to the bike" start it might be an issue.

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

I've got over excited and just ordered 10.5g rollers (that's about the lightest in std size I can find in the UK).

I was on the Yuminashi website and they recommend no more than ~10g for a stock 125 so will see how that works out :)

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

Thanks and will do. :) I've actually just been out on it for a road test; Its difficult to tell an improvement as its very windy here today (and Thursday was the last time i rode) but it pulled right up to 60/62mph flat out which i have never been able to do on the bike before, so that's good. It co...

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

Got it fitted today...a relatively straight forward job but a new fittings need "massaged" which i'll detail below. Old exhaust off and mounting plate bolted on; http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p206/u33db/PCX125/20170408_101507_zpssjgyeack.jpg Notice on the standard pipe the exhaust gas...

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

Yes 125 LED. TBH I don't know why they're not common in the US...I know you could buy them if you wanted but as for passing your tests I don't know? Here in the UK bikes are not tested for emissions so even if they have a cat as standard and its been removed it won't be a fail. Even if it was a fail...

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

u33db... Very Nice! who wants to buy exhaust pipes. Expensive and the one that comes with PCX is sooooo quiet. But if you can fit that and the ecm will calibrate for it, then the price is certainly right. Make us a video complete with sound and any clearance or fit up issues. I wonder why no ESP 15...

Re: Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

Yes but its an extra £100/$125. Malossi do 2 though, one with a catalytic convertor and one without? Hey, I'm not telling anyone to spend more money on an exhaust. I'm still running stock with a few holes drilled thru the end of the pipe. I have never heard of this Tecnigas exhaust and it's not eve...

Tecnigas 4Scoot Exhaust

Hi, Thought i'd put some pictures up of my exhaust which i'll be fitting this weekend. Its a "Tecnigas 4Scoot" system - they do them for non-ESP and ESP 125 engines (pictured is the ESP version for my LED model). Its a stainless steel system with alloy end can so shouldn't rust (my main re...

Re: PCX 125 on the motorway

I can...its not like i'm going too slowly or realistically holding anyone up at that sort of speed. In understand your point though - if i'm beyond a legal speed i'm maybe not best placed to criticise other peoples driving. Legal or not and my occasional foolishness i'm just highlighting "the n...

Re: PCX 125 on the motorway

I don't do north of Aberdeen any more, used to work at Inverurie sometimes when I had the PCX and always used the back roads and never once rode it along the A96. The PCX is totally unsuited to major roads. That might be the way I come into town, via Hatton of Fintray or over via Westhill/Blackburn?

Re: PCX 125 on the motorway

The particular incident i was referring to was when I was doing 90+ so hardly going slowly mate!

Trust me people are lunatics on that road, there isn't a day goes past there isn't some kind of accident or incident.

Its only dual carridgeway as well.

Re: PCX 125 on the motorway

Hmmm its one thing to say the bike is comfortable on motorways but its really all dependant on the terrain, weather and mentality of the local population I think. I think gn2 is near me? (Aberdeen) and if I was to mention the A96 to him I would imagine he'd agree the PCX is not the bike to use on th...
