Re: Sounds after installing Dr Pulley sliders

Yep, easy for Dr P's to flip over when installing back onto scooter. Must keep the assembly 'pinched' , or else they can flip over. Once installed properly - they'll stay in place.

There will be a CVT, so two belts to change.
This scooter might appeal to the gullible.
A short belt, then the big one?
With roller weights and a clutch in there?
Weird.

Re: New Kymco scooters. What do you guys think?

Looks like the old up-right, step-thru Agility, with a swing-arm and without a CVT? So, IS it a scooter if there is no CVT in there - or a motorcycle with panels?
Certainly not low & swoopy like a PCX....but might finally have a decent rear suspension.
Don't think it's slated for N. America.

Saturating the clutch assembly with solvents .....isn't there some lubricant in there trying to work?

Re: Psychiatric Ride

Perhaps you mean a therapeutic ride....to improve your mental wellbeing?

Or -- maybe you do mean that riding a scooter makes you feel crazy? In which case - probably best to take the bus.

Where do you get yours?
At my Honda dealer. Noticed the other day I still have a few Qts left of the HP4M - though the Forza is long gone. (also a couple air and oil filters
Wonder if I can use it in my new mower - it has a Honda engine.

Re: Mileage expectations on Honda Forza 300

I stayed with the oil specified by Honda for the Forza.
But then I tend not to question service manuals for this kind of thing.

Re: How to reduce your coronavirus infection risk

Our groceries are brought out to my truck, no-touch. Fast food , the same. Library items the same. Walmart delivers to our door. All prescriptions are mail order. I frequent a vacant coffee shop, and sit outdoors. I mask up at gas stations and wear gloves. Family and friends visit by phone. Daughter...

LIKE speed run & pancakes en plein air!

I jumped on the country highway with the LIKE this morning for an Italian tune-up. OK, if I was going to do this often, I'd be trying some of those magic balancing beads. - I think the 8yr old front shocks are getting tired. Noted a bit of front tire bounce - which is not evident at my normal 30MPH ...

Re: Seeking Advice: Mechanic Frustration

I've learned to do this: Before purchasing, especially before purchasing a scooter or motorcycle, get serious about your choice. Then buy a service manual for that bike. Read through each of the normal servicing procedures.; like spark plug, CVT, air filter, valve adjustment, rear wheel removal, oil...
