Re: Top Luggage Box

I used to have a Shad top box, I really liked it but stuggled with packing bulky things like my lunch cooler or a case of toilet paper. So I upgraded to a large crate. Been using it stock for the past year and decided to dress it up. The led brake lights are amazing in action. Those brake lights lo...

Re: Top Luggage Box

I used one of those for a short time but found out that at higher speeds it affected the back end. If you aren't going anywhere that has speeds above 35 - 40 mph it is fine...If there isn't a strong crosswind. Hi Mel46, my experience with it has been positive, even when fully loaded and going highw...

Re: How-To: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX

Out of interest, were they out at the first check? I had the valves checked by the dealer at about 1000km, after I first bought the bike in 2014. Waist of money.... I did my own valve check at about 4500km and they were way to tight. Forget what the numbers were, but there was such a noticible &quo...

Re: How-To: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX

Well I figured an update was needed. Last time I checked the valves I was at 13480km. I decided it was time to check them before winter as I was doing an oil change and repairing my driving lights. I was pleased they were spot on as my milage is now 43450km. I learned something too. Do not put the H...

Re: 2018 model musings

On my 2013, I have done all of my own servicing, after the initial 600 mile one by Honda. Makes the cost of ownership dirt cheep. Not impressed with my dealer as parts are crazy expensive. I get my maintenance parts from Babbitts at about 1/20 the cost of my dealer.

Re: Today's Quick Pic

Thats tough Mel46, I hope over time she overcomes her fear. Perhaps just some short jaunts around a block or two, to start. Kind of like learning to walk again in rehab.
Something to get some, or bring back some, fond memorys. Life is too short to be held back by fear.

I see that I misspelled the title for this post but can't find, for the life of me, any option to edit it. So I will just say the dyi in the title should be diy Thats ok, I am dyslexic, so it read perfectly :D By the way, thanks for the tip, I am planning on changing my own tires in the near future...

Re: Today's Quick Pic

I have a question. Both bikes appear to be 2013 model PCX 150s. how were you able to find two that are alike? I bought my first 2013 PCX new in the summer of 2014. It has been such a great scoot and my daughter, now 16 wanted to start riding. I watched the used adds for another PCX scoot. The same ...

Now, I have a question(s).... 1) Please tell me (us) about that junkyard fence behind you (sorry, I didn't know what else to call it). I see a variety of objects. Where is this and why the "junk?" Did you add to it? Hmm...that reminds me, Isn't there a fence somewhere on the globe where f...

Whitenoise, thanks for the warm welcome back! Life is so busy, I forget to smell the roses sometimes. Mel, you are right the west coast is beautiful. Mel said: Mike, beautiful bikes! You do know that there are much more comfortable seats on the market, don't you? I think most of us with the 2013 model replaced seats with custom ones from Thailand long ago. Hi Mel, I ride with an Airhawk cushion. Wore out the cover so the black wrinkly thing on my...
