Re: PCX lights

Well, I am living almost next door to the guys of "Power by PCX" and they offer a Xenon Set. I was interested in it about 3 months ago, at that time it went for 10,000 Baht. A week ago I passed by the shop and asked for the upgrade. Now the price is 11,000 Baht and in addition 500 Baht for...

By the way, notice on "PCX on Trip 1", you can see the "Cool Seat" on my bike, custom made for my modified seat, and I really can recommend it. That guy from Hat Yai provides a great service!

Re: 2 friends, 2 PCX, 4 days, 900 km, and a lot of fun

I decided to take the Rucksack and applied one of my cheap ways to attach it securely to my Red Rat. Brilliant! I'm stealing this! I used a 3/4" tube but it might be easier with a 1/2" tube. But it was just great - everywhere we stopped on the tour, I just pulled out the tube and shoulder...

2 friends, 2 PCX, 4 days, 900 km, and a lot of fun

It was a nice trip, from Phuket a run to Kho Lanta, two nights of stay there, then back to Krabi, next day to visit friends in Phang Nga, next day back via Koh Kho Khao to Phuket. We tried several version to keep the luggage, it was saddle bags vs. Rucksack. I decided to take the Rucksack and applie...

Re: Round the World on a PCX

Continuing to Nepal and then Thailand. I hear PCX's are cheaper over there. ;) You can get a stock PCX150 for about 72,000 to 76,000 Baht here, including some add-ons like helmets, jackets, and other stuff. Getting the registration can take up to three months. Right now, license plates are a rare g...

I got a reply from Japan! Look on this page, it seems to be much more reasonable than the Korean guy.

Re: auto pop up seat conversion kit

I just found a link to a guy from Japan, but until now I got no reply. That Korean guy is crazy, he asks 60$ now!

Look here, watching to the video is almost like a construction manual.

Re: From hot Florida to the coldest North Cape on motorbike

I was hoping to hit the road for maybe 4 or 5 days. Just DRIVE! Drive without a worry in the World. No phone, no watch, no internet. Just me and my PCX. I plan a few days of geocaching around mid of next month. Take the PCX from Phuket to Ao Nang, Krabi, Kho Lanta with a friend. Actually, two PCXs....

Re: Need help finding a part

I can't seem to find the right brake lever on any of the parts schematics. Does anybody know the part number for it? My PCX got blown over and the brake lever got bent. It's a 2013 PCX 150. Thanks in advance! I don't have a parts list for the PCX150, but probability is high, that Part No. 53175-KWN...

Re: Premium brand petrol or supermarket fuel?

I am using the cheapest stuff I can get around here, which happens to be 95 octane Gasohol, as it is called here. It is essentially gasoline with 5% Ethanol. According to the manual, I might use 91 octane Gasohol or even E20, with 20% Ethanol. Look at the signature for mileage ;) Phuket is quite hil...

Re: Juddering Vibration recently in the cold weather

I have the same effect on my 150. The first few starts in the morning are vibrating, but it settles quite quickly after warm-up. I noticed the effect first time at about 1500 kms, Honda told me this is normal and no reason to worry. And yes, temperatures are near 30°C here...

Re: to AVOID on the road

I live in Florida USA, the paint for striping the roads here becomes extremely thick from layer after layer and is as slippery as manhole covers when wet. So it must be about as bad as here in Phuket/Thailand. Just the potholes are even worse, and the first rain after a longer dry period make the r...

A phone holder - almost for free

To call this is How-To is almost an overkill. So I decided to post it (according to the rules) in the gallery. If it is truly worthwhile, the moderator is invited to move it to the haven of How-Tos. I tried several holders for my mobile and all of them were somehow clumsy and a nuisance when not use...
