Re: Found possible range & stats of electric pcx
In the US, I can't see the need for electric as our gas prices are cheaper than most places. I use my PCX as my main transportation year round. I work close to home so daily commute is about 8 miles RT which equates to spending about 8 -10 a month on gas with work and running errands. If the electri...

Re: Changing tires, what are the options?
Breaking the bead was very easy. I simply could not get the lip of the tire over the rim. Sure there's lots of good videos, they all make it look so easy but it certainly is not. The videos look easy cause the people doing them have done it so many times, it's second nature. Not to mention the time...

Re: 12v socket (cigarette lighter charge)
The accessory port is only on when the scooter is on. For me the answer was to add a quick connect to the battery, which I use to power the alarm, tire inflator (with scooter running) and a battery charger should the need arise.

From past experience, an air leak can cause higher than normal idling and may contribute to starting issues.

Re: Motorcycle.com article about 2019 PCX
First of all I noticed that the new engine is 4cc smaller than previously. Next, I noticed that they did not mention being able to store the helmet under the seat, but rather they mention a helmet hook. Lastly, I noticed that the tire sizes have changed: " The new wheels also come with new, la...

Re: 600 Mile Heads Up
Some of the oil will reside in the engine cavities so you won't get out an exact amount out that you are recommended to replace. Add half a quart first once everything is button backed up and then go slowly and check the dip stick several times as the level rises so you don't overfill it. After a d...

Re: 600 Mile Heads Up
I'm going ahead with doing my own oil change... unlike the gy6 Chinese engine which I am familiar with, I discovered that the PCX's oil strainer screen is separate and not part of the drain plug. According to the manual, cleaning the screen is not in the 600 mile column. Is this something I should d...

Re: 600 Mile Heads Up
Here on the board there is a lot of discussion and opinions on checking valves at 600 miles (and paying for that service). Clearly Honda doesn't think it is an issue unless called for. May save some people grief over deciding to, or not to, having the valves adjusted at 600 miles. If you bought an ...

Re: 600 Mile Heads Up
I had both of my bikes in for their 600 mile checks when they were new, and both needed their valves adjusted. To me doing the valve adjustment at that point kept me from having to bring it in later. Since that first adjustment the bike has run like a top. The oil change and screen cleaning are the...

600 Mile Heads Up
So, I just called the Honda dealership where I bought my 2018 PCX 150. Asked how much and time frame for the 600 mile service. They said about 1 1/2 hours and $150.00. I asked how they could adjust the valves and everything else that quickly... His response was that they do not normally adjust the v...

Re: Tunnel Bag?
Thanks All! The dealers close to me didn't have it thus I was looking for an online source. Thanks GN2 for the Amazon Link. Works for me! As for the wear on the bike, this will only be on when I need it so am not worried about that aspect.

Tunnel Bag?
Hi all, was searching around on the web and found this, what they call a tunnel bag. It appear to be made by a company called shad. Went to their website and it is a UK dealer. Anyone know of where the can be purchased for delivery to US? Am not a fan of the top box idea and this seems like a perfec...

I vote for valve adjustment. Had a gy6 clone with same issues and adjusting the valves took care of it

Rear Vibration
Loving my new PCX... just hit the 200 mile mark. I'm probably being a bit picky but ever since I've had this, from taking off to about 35mph, there is a vibration somewhere in the rear. I fixed some of it by replacing the plastic plate cover the dealer had put on, but there is still some vibration. ...
