Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr

The rollers help your "off the line" acceleration but not your topend. The variator helps your topend. The maximum I have been able to get out of mine is 10 mph over it's normal max. The PCX 150 has a general max speed of 62 - 64 mph. With the NCY setup, a Givi tall windshield, and MCG ti...

Me too! Yes, I think as the other that said: 1)The Motul 300v is one of the best oil; but not recommended for PCX at the start of the life. Plese take into considerations: a)Full synthetic oil used during breaking-in procedure will produce "glazing" on the surface of the cilinder, Usually...

Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr

Is your goal to hit top speed or hit the rev limiter? Right now, I'm really trying to figure out at what speed will the rev limiter activates with 13 gram rollers... If the rev limiter won't go off until 84 mph (with 13 gr rollers), but I'm only able to hit 75 mph currently... I'm wondering if movi...

Re: About CBS fuild.

Iceman, that comment was a response to my initial comment that the advertised purpose (that I'd read on more than one occasion) was to prevent the front wheel from locking up... Hence, why it's still blowing my mind that the front wheel can still be locked up with this design. Locking up a drum is p...

Looks to me like a PCX with a different armor, better suspension, & adjustable windscreen.

I'd buy it on day 1 in the U.S. just for the suspension alone.

Re: About CBS fuild.

The idea behind CBS is to help prevent front wheel lock-ups. You can pull the CBS lever on a PCX as hard as you can and the front wheel doesn't lock. For avoidance of doubt and hopefully to clear this up once and for all.... LEFT LEVER = COMBINED FRONT & REAR BRAKING RIGHT LEVER = FRONT BRAKING...

Re: About CBS fuild.

The first page(s) you show say that left is rear, right is CBS... which made the most sense, theoretically, because the entire purpose of CBS was so that someone couldn't lock up the front brake by itself, right?? Why would CBS be applied to the rear brake, where that brake (especially a drum rear) ...

Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr

Sounds like you guys are saying that the only way for me to hit the rev limiter with 13 gram rollers is to roll down a mountain.

I thought I saw others claim to hit 76 to 84 just from changing rollers + variator. I'm guessing they made a few more changes as well, or they were downhill riders...

Wait a second...

I thought the RIGHT lever worked both front and rear brakes,
While the LEFT lever worked rear only.

Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr

Sorry to say you bought a 125 or 150 when you really need a 300. In addition , the light weight of the PCX makes it really dangerous on the interstate highway. Search for a big bore kit, you need more displacement, not a bunch of minor performance add-ons. Umm.... I don't NEED a 300. I need my PCX ...

Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr

... I'm not the type to start altering engine displacement and adding other "upper echelon" mods. But maybe a big bore kit on this bike would be fun. Was really just thinking intake, exhaust, and maybe altering fuel mapping or something. But I love the PCX so much, that I might actually co...

Re: How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscr

What I read was...

A windscreen is a hindrance to speed. Opening up the exhaust is the only thing that will add top speed without destroying your acceleration.

How to hit rev limiter with 13 gram rollers? Add windscreen?

Just installed my NCY variator, drive face, 13 gram rollers, new belt, new clutch bearings, and new clutch bell with better inner grip (& just a tad lighter). It's a 2013, so I was able to get it up to 65 when I first got it. But I've been topping out at 63 mph more often than not for the past c...

Better way to deal with it is wet and dry, eliminates the risk of belt/clutch damage.
How many children must I sacrifice before you explain to me how I can wet and dry my clutch? Is that just spraying a solvent of some sort and wiping it dry?

Re: Variator rollers - a right and wrong way to fit, appare

Mine were fitted (by Honda) with the most polymer side facing to the lhs with the variator plate face down on a surface with the rear facing you - so I followed that practice. I just took mine apart, and they were fitted exactly as shown in the tutorial.... https://www.adrenalin-pedstop.co.uk/img/t...

Re: PCX 2014 - clutch bearing issue progress

I ordered the whole clutch assembly driven face... and I was expecting it to come with both "faces" already on it, with the 3 pins in the curved grooves, and that sliding cover. Matter of fact, I didn't know anything about the 3 pins and sliding cover until I took it all apart. I thought I...
