Re: Variator work - had great difficulty removing the cover!
My plug never gave me trouble as well but i decided to change it after 3 years and keep the old plug as a reserve. Never had my valves check at 60,000 kms now. o_O I always had trouble with the cover, even in putting it back, that I messed up a couple of its metal gasket already. Good thing that gas...

Re: Variator work - had great difficulty removing the cover!
If you haven't opened it for almost a year, expect it to be a little hard to open. Mine doesn't come off as easily every time that I have to use a screwdriver to help pry it open.

Re: Belt grinding issue
@Gil I can't seem to find them anywhere here, the shops sells the driven face instead (see photo). This is better than buying the entire clutch set. ibfbye.jpg @Youyou, Gn2 That seems to be the case. Taking these bearings out seems harder than it looks, especially without the right tools. Iv'e tried...

Re: Belt grinding issue
Think OEM parts are best.........I'd swap it out.... if it was mine [assembly with bearings already installed] Only about $30.00+ USA. Should be cheaper in Thailand. Agree the belt looks good but thinking you could get that pretty cheap also.[oem] Good luck. Hi, thanks. Yeah, that's what I'm thinki...

Belt grinding issue
So I changed my clutch set lately as the bearing is starting to make a sound. Bought an aftermarket one instead of the OEM, silly me. The clutch pad that came with the set is not good so I changed it into a much better pads to avoid the clutch shudder problem. With that, the new clutch ran smooth, n...

Re: questions from a soon-to-be rider
1. I don't suggest riding this far on your first ride with the scoot. Just too dangerous if your'e not that acquianted with your new scoot yet. Ask the dealer if they can deliver it to you instead, haul it on the back of a truck. Or if you have a truck yourslef, why not.. 2. Helmet, riding jacket, t...

Roads are clear because most peopole still work at home right now, but it is also scorching at 40°C (104°F).
Seems like a perfect time to ride around town, or not..

I'm not sure how the extra 5mph will matter in a long trip but yeah you can try changing the rollers.

They're now selling carbon type aftermarket clutch pads that solved the problem. Used mine 30,000 kms without any problems.

Re: Tire size
Iv'e read that the OEM rim is narrow and attaching a wider tire will create a squeezing effect on tires and will actually reduce the contact area.
1 size up won't be a problem though..

Re: Roll Call
Everything is fine with us here in Thailand. Most people now are working-at-home, but everything looks normal on the outside. Well, traffic quite less but one can still go out and ride, but there is really nowhere to go as most establishments are closed. Curfew is from 10pm to 5am, no one goes outsi...

Re: 2019 PCX 150 - Top Speed - Huh?
I can run my 2016 up to 72 mph but I'm only around 145 lbs. Weight plays a big factor.
Also, give your PCX more time to break in.

Re: PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)
alx123 , I would have to conclude from those pictures that it would be dangerous to install the larger rims on an older model PCX. Imagine getting ANYTHING caught between the rim and the swingarm. Ugh! I would not even want to imagine what would happen then. I would conclude from this investigation...

Re: PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)
Update: I finally found a PCX that actually did what I had in mind and I didn't like what I saw. Looks like the rear wheel will fit, but look closer.. 90230320_3139878456045066_1403320275512066048_o.jpg 90174923_3139878636045048_8694410285655523328_o.jpg The clearance between the swing arm and the w...

Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off
I didn't know Honda sell grooved bells and carbon clutch. But it doesn't matter OEM or not, as long as it works.
That clutch bell looks similar to what I'm using, except for the holes.

Yes, a year and a half by now. No stutter so far. But I'm guessing I'm also due for replacement soon as the shoes are thinning.
You still need to do regular cleaning of the clutch and variator area, as usual.
