Re: Ditch the Expense of Car/Truck/SUV Ownership and . . ..

If i lived in a warmer climate I'd give scooter only life more of a consideration. Spain, Italy, southern France. It just doesn't cut it living on a congested island with continuous pissing rain, litter and dog shit. Agree with 2yous on this, because of climate I need a car during winter. If I live...

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old

String type repair kits are only a get you home measure.
Mushroom plugs are better.
Professional repairers use a patch on the inside of the tyre.

Or you can just leave the plastic trim piece off.
That way you can remove the rack without having to buy a new trim piece.

Re: Liberty150iABS on a cold Ohio morning....

Said it before and I'll say it again, the pin-lock visor insert is one of the top innovations of my lifetime.
Can't imagine life without one.
Visor can be left shut ALL the time unless for some cool air in hot weather (or so I'm told, we don't get any here)

Re: Quick Oil Question

Yes and no.
Yes because its motor oil and will be fine.
No because the numbers are wrong and your hair will fall out and/or you'll get piles from the stress of worrying you've put the wrong oil in.

Re: Headlight question ?

If you can get both beams on with halogen bulbs in a modern scooter you run the risk of melting the headlamp lens.

Re: Headlight question ?

I dont think the factory bulbs operate with both beams on to avoid an excessive amount of heat. They don't run with both elements on because the design specification for the bulb places the dip and full beam elements in their own fixed positions and it is this change in position from one to the oth...

Maybe see if you can find a Piaggio MP3

Have you looked at the Can-Am Ryker? Much cheaper.

Re: Headlight question ?

Correct me if I am wrong but beam behavior and pattern are controlled by the lens. You're partially correct. Position of the bulb element relative to the lens and the direction light radiates from the element also play their part. LED bulb elements are always in the wrong position, its not possible...

Yes, completely.
Think bicycle with stabilisers on.
If you really have to have a trike get a real one with two wheels at the front.
Preferably tilting.

Re: Headlight question ?

If they are aftermarket bulbs its perfectly possible that high/low could be on together because the bulbs will likely have miniature electronic controls inside them.

Use the correct bulbs for a proper beam behaviour and pattern.

my Heinkel only had the front brake on the right side of the handlebar and the rear brake was a foot pedal on the foot board. As an aside (and, sorry, off topic but I couldn't resist!).... this the only Heinkel I ever saw (I took this over Pueblo, CO from a C-45): HEINK4.JPG and this is me standing...

Re: Goodbye Forza 300 and Welcome NC750D Integra.

There's one thing common to all scooters, as well as being scooters, they are all motorcycles.
But not all motorcycles are scooters.
The NC750 platform really isn't a scooter no matter what Honda's marketing department says.

Re: Unretired from retiring from motorcycles

Were the earlier Forza 300s that much less powered than the current models? I have a 2020 model, which I thought has pretty much the same engine as the earlier ones but with a few tweaks to improve performance and efficiency, but I am still surprised to hear that the earlier ones struggled to get t...
