Re: pcx 125 not starting at all
Hi Guys, When I turned the key on everything lights, and you can hear the fuel pump pumping but when I hit the start switch nothing happened at all. I did centered the bike and kick the stand up but still nothing. I do not know how old the battery is. I will try tonight adding some gas before hitti...

Re: Uber on Scooter
Was just thinking "Uber on Scooter" which can be an enjoyable thing to do depending on the client. But I Google it to see if they already came up with it but from what I can tell not exactly what I had in mind. I'm driving with Uber Eats while waiting for my pension eligibility (laid off ...

I'm with gn2... heck I'd give you $750 for it right now if I could figure out how to get it to Colorado. Add a couple hundred, and I might be persuaded to deliver it. I figure, three nights in motels, on the way there...that's assuming the roads are open. It's sopping wet and cold, in the Five Vall...

Re: Wheels out of balance?
Had a chance to play with it. Revving it up on the center stand, it walks across the garage floor. It's not as obvious as I'd have hoped, but I guess it is what it is. If it were the front wheel, taking it off and to the shop for balancing would be easy. Or even balancing it myself - there's some in...

Re: CT (Connecticut) Soon To Be Rider
Okay let me start by saying I don't own a scooter...YET! However, I am NOT new to riding for I owned in this order: 1. Honda Nighthawk (standard not crotch rocket) in 98 which was when I got my motorcycle license and first bike...obviously. 2. About a year later I upgrade to a Honda Sabre cruiser a...

Might be utility in your opinion but a milk crate is far from an elegant secure luggage solution. What is "secure" while ON the machine? A milk crate is a container. You put your stuff in it...and when it's parked, take it with you. The same you would with expenive, detachable luggage. He...

Re: Well...congratulate me...
Not only do people like to get a bargain they like to buy a used vehicle that's been fully maintained and is ready to go and won't need time/money spending on it for a while. Given that you recently paid $1500 for a newer one you have a neck of solid brass asking $1100 for your old junker. Get it l...

Re: Well...congratulate me...
If you want to sell it at $1,100 why not put it up at that and keep it firm? People love to get "bargains." Love to be able to tell their friends how they "joo'd him down" and got it SO much lower. Like you, I like a firm, straightforward price. We're in a minority on this. Ever...

Re: Wheels out of balance?
But. I find the ride is suddenly noticeably "busy" at higher speeds. Does it still feel "busy" if you 1) reach this higher speed and simultaneously go wide open throttle and LIGHTLY apply the LEFT brake (both front & rear) and then 2) resume higher speed and then simultaneou...

Re: Wheels out of balance?
Yes.
No, it's not like a constant vibration/shimmy. But when a wheel is MARGINALLY out of balance, it will sometimes start bouncing when it hits a dip or pothole, and then settle back.
Everything else seems good, too. The fork bearings are where they should be - more so than my other PCX.

Re: Well...congratulate me...
What work does it need done? Tires. That's $250, give or take. Then, there's the question of checking/setting valves. That's another $250, at $90/hour shop rates. Then, there's the reality that the sliders/belt/variator is going to need service. To someone with a workshop, no problem. For me, witho...

Wheels out of balance?
So. Playing around with my new-to-me 150...it's an improvement over the 125, no question. But. I find the ride is suddenly noticeably "busy" at higher speeds. Our roads out here are not-so-good, but this is the first time I've really noticed a "busy" ride on a PCX. Ripples and di...

Re: Thinking of downsizing to a PCX
Two days ago, after a very successful ride of about 40 km, I nearly dropped my Forza on my friends driveway. Lucky for me, a man was outside and saw my problem and came over to help me right the bike. The bike is fine, not a scratch, but my knee is seriously injured. Three torn ligaments. Lucky for...

Re: Well...congratulate me...
How easily, and for how much, can one sell an ageing PCX which needs $500 maintenance ? Fish That's the $1,000,000 question. I'm advertising it for $1400 on the List of Craig - one nibble and now lost. Why that price? I want room to drop the price. Someone comes and offers me $1100, it's gonna be h...

man what a nice bike, in person, you can really tell the bike is stretched..... http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h307/gersly123/05A308BD-6032-4EC9-B154-4FB3CC28E665_zpsxswy9pqy.jpeg I'm not generally in favor of swingarm stretches; but that's well-done. I wonder if it improves the ride. I also am ...

Re: Humpectomy
Interesting. Standard move for the American (or Canadian) PCX owner is to remove the bolt-on butt-stop hump. Sitting RIGHT OVER the holes it bolts on...is a good spot for an average full-grown male. Puts your feet in a sort of highway-peg position, too. Aside from the no-padding, not too bad comfort...

Re: Does size matter - or more to it?
I met an older couple on a BRP Cam-Am Spyder today. It is a big machine and he said he paid about $40,000 CDN for it and the matching trailer. Dumb old rich people. I am never going to be rich nor old. I don't want to. Oops, define old? If you have to have a trike, the Can-Am is the way to do it. I...
