Re: 1000 miles
Nice tip on that bottle of wine, gn2. I've lost track of the number of ways I've conveyed beverages of various sorts on the Forza. Much depends on how secure I need it to be and how many more stops I have to make before I'm home. I've strapped cases of beer or wine onto the pillion when the next sto...

Re: Forward attachment points for pillion cargo?
The handlebar muffs are from Tucano Urbano. Despite living here in North America, I bought them from an online store in the UK. Last season, I used all stock parts, and so had to find some fender washers to keep the handlebar end weight bolt from simply pulling through the muffs. This year, I have a...

Re: New bolts
If you wanted one of those, it would be impossible to find one.... Thanks for another good laugh, George. This reminds me of a comment made to my wife by a then-4 year old. My wife's car seems to be painted in a color we are calling "hit-me-blue." It has been wrinkled up in parking lots a...

Rear tire wear = Front end wobble/shimmy on the Forza 300?
I'm just going to tell this story in case anyone else has had a similar thing happen. I'm wondering if this is known lore or whether I still have a second issue that I need to find. I've been riding the Forza for 18 months now, but only have about 4650 miles (7500 km) on the odo. Despite my Iron But...

...but I went with 2 Rok Straps simply passed under the seat and tightened. That bag didn't move once. I can't recommend Rok Straps highly enough.... I concur. I have a couple of Rok straps that I bought for use on the Wing, and they are great. For about a year, I kept them under the seat of the Fo...

Re: Forward attachment points for pillion cargo?
And here it is delivering a new tire to be installed at the shop. (The local Honda shop said that the rear tire I wanted was on backorder and gave me a date to try again. Before that date arrived, the tire did from a different source. I honestly do try to shop local, but they don't make it easy.) IM...

New bolts
Well, here's something to lighten your day. I needed a couple of stainless steel bolts sized M6-1.00 x 100mm. I could not source them locally, so I hit the web and found an online supplier who happens to sell scooters & scooter parts. The price was reasonable, I placed my order, and the package ...

Re: Changed your bar ends?
Well, I don't have a friend who is a machinist, and I couldn't find handlebar end weights of the size that I want, so bought some made for Vespas taht are 1kg each and much longer, but are flat on the inside and too large in diameter. Rather than replace the stock handlebar end weights, I stacked th...

Re: seat damper
The seat actually stays up! We shall see about colder temps (it is currently 50 F), but it feels far more secure. I had mine replaced under warranty, but it still doesn't work in cold weather. I've installed a marine hatch spring. http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6848&p=95900#p95900...

Re: Tucano Urbano leg cover
For those who care about such things, the odd bit in the picture behind the center stand and in front of the rear wheel is the ale I was drinking.
No, I didn't get very far in it until I was done with the actual work. Sorry. I'm a wimp.

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
I purchased one today.....bargain fair weather price so I could not say no. Can they be folded away and not used when the weather is nice? Tried fitting it today......think I got the wrong one, does not seem to even come close! The one I brought is a R164... Anyone know if this is correct for a 201...

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
I just went to install my TU leg cover for its second season (also here in Columbia, SC, where we've had a few morning commutes near freezing temps in the last couple of weeks). A buckle broke and the fabric ripped when I went to do my last little bit of tightening. So, when I had thought I was done...

Re: Has anyone had their Forza seat fixed under warranty?
OK, among the to-do list items I took care of yesterday was moving the hatch spring over to the other side. Pulling it off of where it was, drilling pilot holes, and installing it where it is now was a five minute job. I am much, much happier with the thing on the right side of the bike. The only ti...

Tucano Urbano leg cover
Well, here in the US of A, we had Thanksgiving yesterday and most of us had today off (thank you very much) so that we could all go shopping (no thank you). I used the day to get a whole bunch of to-do items checked off. A few of my items had to do with the scooter (new rear tire is being shipped; n...

Re: seat damper
The seat damper is known to have problems, and those problems are worse when the ambient temperature is colder. I had mine changed under warranty, but the new one is still insufficient. Check out this thread and my current imperfect solution:

Re: Has anyone had their Forza seat fixed under warranty?
I actually got the bike back on Tuesday, but it was dark when I got home, so no pictures that day. Wednesday after work I snapped a couple of cell phone pix, but haven't had the time to edit them to the board's maximum size until tonight. (OK, I might have had time last night, but we went to a Bob D...

Re: NSS300 Fuel Pump problems
Well, I got the scooter back tonight. It now has its third fuel pump. But it hasn't failed me while I was riding it yet. The wife's car (also a Honda) goes to a different shop in a week for three recalls. The auto shop for Honda has an employee who does nothing but manage recalls. How the mighty hav...

Yep, short pan head screws was all I used.
I will try to remember to post pix when I get the beast back.

More than a tad jealous here. Especially since this is well within striking distance for me. I just don't have time.

Re: Has anyone had their Forza seat fixed under warranty?
My seat damper was replaced under warranty, and my experience matches that of others here. The new one still doesn't hold the seat up when it is cold out.
I installed a marine hatch spring to hold the thing up:
