Re: Another new owner/Forum member

It was a 90 mile trip up to Givi to have their AirFlow shield put on my Forza almost two weeks ago. The difference both on hands and on head/torso was huge. I did not wear gloves either direction (don't tell the MSF) and on the way up was taking a lot of hits from both bugs and sand on my hands. On ...

Not a video (which I wish I could find), but here's a flowchart from the shop manual.

Re: New Forza 300 owner

When you get the Forza up to about 50-55mph, you get the plush suspension. It really settles down nicely. Yeah, I noticed that on the trip to/from Charlotte this week. The Forza really likes US highways, and I bet it will love the Blue Ridge Parkway. But these days about 95% of my driving is on sur...

Larger Grips

My hands prefer larger grips. Here's my current solution: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00230P2E4 Grab On Grips Grip Cover - Fits From 1.25in. to 1.45in. OD - 4.25in.L, Color: Black MC401 I squirted a little isopropyl alcohol into them, and they slipped right on. Once the alcohol evaporated of...

Re: How to pull off fairings

I thought Homie and others have posted vids to YT showing how to take many of the panels off - such as for valve clearance. There are step by step tutorials (with pics) here for the same process. Forgive a newbie question... Are there links to these tutorials anywhere? A search of YouTube is turnin...

Re: How to pull off fairings

According to the shop manual, taking apart the 2015 bodywork is identical to taking apart the 2014.

If someone has real-life pictures of the process, that would be best. If pix aren't available, I can shoot cell-phone snaps from the shop manual.

Helm / Hondaline Shop manual for 2014 Forza

The postal carrier dropped this at my doorstep today. I was amused to find inside the brown paaer bubblewrap package a manual with three levels of shrink wrap on it. In the deepest level, the 2014 Honda Service manual for "2014 NSS300/A"; it has a glued binding and lots of holes punches fo...

Re: New speaker

I saw this mod and ordered one. In my collection of pix in the gas gauge thread, you can even see it stuck down to the dash in one picture. Yeah, FM reception is pretty bad, and here in the Deep South, where all our power lines are overhead, I lose a lot depending on where in town I am. Paring with ...

Re: New Forza 300 owner

Hello, Hypnos. I feel as though I should introduce myself as Thanatos or Memnos or something. I, too, am new to the list. I just traded in my '03 Goldwing last Saturday and took delivery of a '14 Forza. My reasons are similar to yours. Although I had put 152K on the Leanabago's clock, only 6K of tha...

Re: Forward attachment points for pillion cargo?

Mel46, very nice solution on the PCX. I've been poking around the Forza for similar ideas, and there may be a minimally invasive solution that works via the hard "backrest" between saddle and pillion, but I think I want to try something else first. gn2, I'm just a bit too nervous to head o...

Re: Fuel gauge in the red

For this tank, I have taken a picture of the dashboard every time I have switched the beast on, and I have been more intentional about watching the gauges when I switched it on. Yes, it is indeed a slow steady drop through the first two gallons. Predictable needle readings. Once I got to about a gal...

Forward attachment points for pillion cargo?

Suppose you were picking up a 25 lb bag of pet food. Or a ginormous pack of toilet paper. Or a couple of bricks of soda. The natural place to put such things is on the pillion. I got my trunk box with a luggage rack on top for the same reason I put a luggage rack on the top of my Goldwing's trunk bo...

Added a Givi AF1123 screen and Maxia 3 (E55) box today

I took the new scoot out on its first longer run today, about 200 miles of going to Givi in Charlotte, NC, coming home, and running some errands. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam. So, as always, YMMV. When I left the house this morning, I had the stock short windscreen. The route was mainly up ...

Re: Fuel gauge in the red

I took delivery of my '14 Forza here in the States last Saturday. Today, I rode it 90 miles up to Givi in Charlotte. The gas gauge needle was dropping steadily, and when I pulled into Givi I had about 120 miles on the trip meter and was showing just under half a tank (overly optimistic much?). When ...

Re: The helmet hanger thing

Hi, Paul. I just rode my 2014 Forza home from the dealership a little bit ago and have just finished working through the manual. The helmet hanger has me a bit confused as well, but what I think they mean for us to use is the little plastic peg right next to the seat latch. Notice that it's just a s...
