Re: Riding with a passenger
My first three cars... Fiat 126, 600cc air cooled parallel twin rear mount engine, rear wheel drive. Basic box, totally bonkers car, crashed it into a wall and killed it Lada 1200 estate, liquid cooled 1200cc in-line 4, rear wheel drive. Huge carrying capacity, fold rear seat down and could use it ...

Re: Riding with a passenger
I love those Velo Solex things. I have yet to ride one but I want to. The idea of front wheel drive on a motorised bicycle intrigues me. :) As far as I remember, the gas line was connected to the front brake lever. So you would go full-throttle once the levers were released. Full speed with hands i...

Re: Riding with a passenger
My first motored solo ride was when I was 10, on a French Solex 3800 - a bicycle with a funny motor on a front wheel Solex 3800.png (could not decide whether to present it by Brigitte Bardot or Steve Mac Queen, so I selected both) When the choice comes down to between Brigitte Bardot and Steve McQu...

Re: No Cable Clutch On This?
Yep, I've had a modern Honda Innova with a modernised version of the system. The clutch was linked to the gear pedal. You put it in first and the bike would be stationary at tickover. Build the revs up and the clutch disengages and the bike moves. If you press the gear lever part way down when in ge...

Sounds like a short journey to Sucksville, Mel.
I'll also apologise now for my part in taking this thread off-topic.

Wow! That's some bright lighting! Like the surface of the Sun!!!
It's snowed again here and even the South (normally warmer) end of the UK has returned to the depths of Winter.

Re: Newbie here
Scooter performance threads are pretty much 50:50 wishful thinking and bullshit. Screens are available in all sizes, from a variety of manufacturers, Givi, Puig, Fabbri etc, the SH300/150 is a best seller in Italy... Ain't that the truth! Yes, screens and coffee cup holders abound on SHs in R...

Re: Riding with a passenger
To this day I don't know what sparked my interest in motorcycles. I think it's fate. We'd have found our way to it by a different means if we hadn't taken the paths we had. :) Jenny, Mel, i have found your experiences A lot of fun to read. My intro to riding is very dull in comparison Thank you so ...

Re: Riding with a passenger
Interestingly enough, I didn't learn to drive until I bought a motorcycle. Great account. Sounds like you stumbled into driving like I stumbled into riding. I was happy being a pillion on my ex's bikes. One day he decided (as he unilaterally decided most things) that he didn't want to carry pillion...

I don't think Honda were in any hurry to release it.Embattle wrote:It is very nice looking, shame it has taken so long to arrive.
The SH300 has sold steadily throughout its life and there was nothing really wrong with the old Forza 300 either.

All of his hard-earned ego gone. Diluted away by a bearded, bald, middle-aged man on a moped. If you can believe me, it's just as satisfying doing it as a girl especially with a flip up helmet. I can flip-up, smile, and the look of deflation gets even more pronounced. ;) Hi Jenny I can see th...

Re: Riding with a passenger
I've ridden two-up frequently on my old Chinese 125 that was at least 6 bhp down on the Forza 125. You learn quickly, as the rider, to preserve momentum. I drove my Foster Mum's old Citroen Dyane a bit so I now that you should be familiar with that concept in the 2CV. Something for the pillion to l...

Do the cat, and follow up with the cow, yoga poses.
Do these every morning and keep your spine manipulated.
Great for reducing those sat-in-the-saddle aches you forget about when you aren't riding as frequently.

Hi everyone, I have just joined this forum and this is my first post. I am expecting the delivery of my new Forza 125 in a month’s time :P .
