Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

Honda confirm that they do not insist on Honda servicing.... Thank you for the reply. We do not have any established terms and conditions or rules saying that if you service your car with an independent dealer this will mandatory void your warranty. We do not oblige our customers to service their ca...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

"if you would like to keep the warranty of you Honda motorcycle intact, you need to have it serviced by one of our dealers." Seems pretty clear cut and unambiguous to me. No, it doesn't.You've decided what you're looking for, and have ignored the rest of the post, so there's little point ...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

Honda say yeahbut, nobut.... The warranty we offer with our Honda vehicles is subject to regular servicing according to the maintenance schedule which can be found in your service book. We recommend that any repairs and services are done within our Honda dealership network because our technicians ha...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

An interesting opinion piece, which confuses the issue of warranty claims with where you should get servicing done within a warranty period.

But the fact remains, motorcycles are not covered by the EU Block Exemption.
I didn't say it did. I just pointed out the incorrect information you've given to someone asking on the subject.

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

If you want to stand any chance of a successful warranty claim on a motorcycle you do. Kawasaki don't insist on you having your bike serviced with them. What does Kawasaki policy have to do with Honda warranty conditions? The fact remains that the EU Block Exemption legislation does not compel a ma...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

You don't have to use Honda. If you want to stand any chance of a successful warranty claim on a motorcycle you do. The "EU Block Exemption" legislation which enables consumers to have independents do servicing and keep their warranty valid has only ever applied to three and four wheeled ...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?

Recently there was some discussion about the differences in service requirements to keep the PCX under warranty in various countries. When comparing the relative flexibility of servicing regulations in the US to the comparatively restrictive requirements in the UK, several statements were made that...

Yeah the rack is flat but my old bags just don't secure to it properly. The design appears to be specific to the honda accessories rather than for general usage. You may have to do some modifications and/or adjustments in order to make the tailbox rack level for other purposes. I have taken my dog in a carrier with me on the tail rack that the box is usually on. There is a part of the rack that sticks up which normally latches into the tailbox. When I need ...

It's disappointing that Honda didn't design the rear handle on the PCX so that a standard Honda top box would fix straight on, as with some of their other scoots. It's a far more attractive, simpler and practical solution. A stock Honda part. My old SH150i box fits the PCX perfectly. I don't have t...
