This help? The Front Cover page (6) tells you to remove the Lower Cover then the Center Cover then the Front Meter Panel and then the Floor Skirt. THEN you can remove the Front Cover which includes the headlight assembly.

In the battery description is shows a Motorcycle mode. Use that. The battery is 'intelligent' and should adjust charge rate to what is needed. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I think the rear brake is fine, too. I locked mine up once so know what pressure is need for that, now!
