Re: Question about buying a Forza
8k miles on mine. The fuel pump recall was a nightmare requiring three visits to the dealer for them to get the repair right. Never had any trouble until the recall work, then it leaked. A very dangerous condition because when it leaked it was right in front of the rear tire creating loss of tractio...

Hand guards
In case anyone else is thinking of getting hand guards to cut down on winter chill. I just bought and installed these for about $37 USD shipped; http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-CUSTOM-Clear-Hand-Guard-Protector-Shield-For-Harley-Sporster-XL-883-1200-Iron/32342604927.html They fit perfec...

Re: Muffs
Just bought a pair from Amazon. I haven't used them yet but I've read many posts praising them. I did also just buy hand guards to help keep them up and off the brake levers, this is one concern I've heard raised. What finally clinched the decision for me was spending a winter week in NYC last year ...

Good question, I saw a used Burgman at a dealer that had these mounted and they looked like they could be effective I been wondering the same thing.

Re: rear tyre valve advice please.
I'm guessing you turned it counter clock wise and it loosened the lock nut on the stem inside the tire which loosened the seal (o-ring or gasket) that's inside, outside or both. You may get lucky and try turning it back in the other direction to see if it will seal. If there is a nut on the outside ...

Re: Extra 12 volt plug on a 2014 Forza 300
Some have notched the door to allow the wire to pass through. I have not done it but it seems like an easier solution that if done with thought would not create much of a water infiltration problem. May be worth considering.

Re: Fuel pump recall fail
I agree fully that I should not be test driving it to test a repair, as I said It's dangerous, I know. If I thought this was a case of a poor job by an individual mechanic I would not have even raised the discussion. My point is that I believe this result is all too common. I believe that some of th...

Fuel pump recall fail
I've brought my Forza in for the fuel pump replacement. I brought it in about 4 weeks ago and realized I had a leak the night I brought it home. Overnight it leaked out about a gallon. The dealer towed it away the next day and serviced it again. I got it back the following day and drove about 3 week...

It's under the top cover of the dash above the right side box. Open the box to find a couple of screws remove them and pull up the cover. Sorry I don'the remember the fuse location or value.

Re: SONY Action Cams
I have the earlier version of this unit and I see they've added a screw mount to the base which was my biggest gripe with mine, that it had to be in the waterproof case to use a tripod or screw mount. I honestly have not used it much but have been pleased with it so far. I have installed the Ipod ap...

Re: Windshields
Yes slow is a relative term. It only has meaning compared to something else. Having four legs and a tail are absolute terms. It is quantized. Can you use real words please. My Elite 80 is slower than my Forza. Both are slower than a Burgman 650. A cat with three legs is usually slower than one with...

Re: That seat 'opener damper'
a different perspective.... It appears to me that the damper is strong enough, but needs a few more millimeters of reach? Maybe 0.5 "? If the damper could increase the seat's open angle by 5-8 degrees, more of the weight would be over the hinge and less on the damper? If the room is available,...

Re: That seat 'opener damper'
Before making the change don't forget to consider the strength of the sockets, what they are mounted to and the seat hinge. After raising the pressure of the shock you could find out that the OEM pressure is all the setup can handle without re-engineering it and Honda decided not to do it. I wouldn'...

Mine has not worked since day one. I was going to write it of as a pain in the neck poor design but since I have to go in for the fuel pump recall I will ask the dealer to address it then. Honestly though the fuel pump recall with all the horror stories of damaged panels concerns me more, makes me a...

Re: GoGoro! This is Exciting!
I completely lost interest when I found out heir business model revolves around battery stations only. No provisions for self charging at home where you could perhaps keep a spare ready for a quick swap in the garage. It's concept is geared entirely for dense city settings.
