Not sure sitting on it while on the stand will do anything as the forces will be upwards and not downwards, where the lug is weakest.

I've decided to fit these, along with hand guards. Got hand guards on a couple of bikes and found them very good, especially when its wet.

Greetings Dab. Welcome to the forum. Be sure to post some pics when you get it. Regarding heated grips ... you would do well to search though other threads on this forum and what the best way to wire them up is. There is concern that extra electrical drain on the system can be tough on the battery....
