Re: My other rides
The previous picture of the Yamaha MT-01 is 3 years old, and has had quite a few additions to it. Heres a photo I took today. The bike was not imported into the USA due to some patent dispute RE the rear suspension. It has a Warrior V twin, pushrod engine of 1670cc. Geared to do 3000 rpm at 90 mph, ...

Not sure sitting on it while on the stand will do anything as the forces will be upwards and not downwards, where the lug is weakest.Taz wrote:I should also mention I avoid sitting on my Mark 1 125 when its on the main stand as that's almost doubling the stress on those lugs.

Are they all on the road at the same time? Here in the US, at least in my state, I would be buried in insurance costs. Looks like fun, though. A bike for every mood (except.. don't you need a cruiser...?) 5 on the road, Ducati in pieces for quite a few years, long term project ;) . WR 250 damaged a...

Re: Centrestand woes.... sound familiar...?
Not getting my PCX until September so can only look at the photographs here. Question, what part of the stand hits the bike to stop it when the bike is rolled off. From the photo it seems to be the rusty bit just about 2 inches from the mounting. I think, considering the weight and length of the sta...

Re: My other rides
Obviously that would be the Ducati. Of course, the first picture was around 1986, the second 2 were round 79-80, when the bike was new. I bought the bike new in Aug 79, possibly the last one sold in the UK. Done about 36000 miles on it, without any major problems. Not bad for a 70's Ducati, if you ...

I've got oxford heated grips on mine. They work perfectly. No issues whatsoever[/quote]
I've decided to fit these, along with hand guards. Got hand guards on a couple of bikes and found them very good, especially when its wet.

Re: New owner from the UK
Greetings Dab. Welcome to the forum. Be sure to post some pics when you get it. Regarding heated grips ... you would do well to search though other threads on this forum and what the best way to wire them up is. There is concern that extra electrical drain on the system can be tough on the battery....

New owner from the UK
Been thinking about getting a scooter for a while now and finally done it. Should get it early in September. Been riding big bikes for 39 years now, but apart from a C90, in the late 70s always had a clutch to deal with. Its a red one with a larger Honda screen on it, will be looking to get a large ...
