Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off

I had the same white stuff on my Forza. The problem is that water gets in from the front when it rains as there is a small gap at the front of the plastic cover.

Re: Costs of servicing Forza 300

Question - if I were to buy a brand new Forza 300 next yr, would I have to have it serviced by a Honda dealer to maintain the warranty, or could I use independent garages? Yes, in the UK the warranty requires Honda dealer servicing. The rules for cars do not apply to motorcycles. One of the main re...

Re: narrowing the belt

Cheap chinese Ebay belts are a bad idea - why pay £20-25 for poor immitation kevlar crap when you can buy Honda originals from a dealer for £35. What dealer did you buy a Honda Forza 300 drive belt from in the UK for £35? The list price in the UK is about 3 times that price or are you not talking a...

If it is possible, try heating the bodywork with a hot air blower type of heater before removing bodywork.

Re: Intermittent valve tappet noise 2016 Forza. 3500 mi.

Adjusted valve lash to book spec (only .001 off on exhaust), replaced cam chain tensioner, replaced exhaust header gasket..........still intermittent ticking noise. Although mine is a 2016 and not in the group that had fuel pump issues, I'm wondering what that symptom sounded like when it started t...

Sounds like a sticking cam chain tensioner.

This is the Forza 300 section, so the request is for the new Forza 300 manual, NOT the 125.

Re: Changing antifreeze and brake fluid

The bleed screw in the rear caliper is also linked to the left hand side master cylinder. The brakes on the Forza are linked front to rear and that is the reason for bleed nipples front and rear. The front caliper has three pistons. The middle one is linked to the left hand side master cylinder (vie...

Re: Changing antifreeze and brake fluid

The top bleed screw is for the front brake (right hand side master cylinder) and the lower is the bleed screw for the left hand side master cylinder.

Re: New Old Stock 2015 Forza ABS Owner

If and when you change screens, the biggest problem you will have is removing the plastic screen surround as it requires a bit of effort to remove. If the aftermarket screen (like Givi) is designed for the Forza, the you shouldn't have to modify it to fit.

Re: New Old Stock 2015 Forza ABS Owner

Take it to a Honda dealer and check that the recalls have been done - fuel pump, starter relay etc. Check the Honda website where you can check if it needs recall work.

I did add one ounce to the rear (left) reservoir the other day.
That's a sign that the rear brake pads are wearing out as they don't last long on the Forza.

Re: Probably a can of worms, but . . .

You almost definitely will not have to top up the oil before the 600 mile service which is not that expensive as it basically is an oil & filter change and a general check over. If you feel the need to buy oil, just buy a good quality semi synthetic (you do not need expensive fully synthetic) 10...

Re: Honda MaRIS

You might be better off looking for a genuine Honda manual from the USA as they sell printed ones there. I got one for my 2014 Forza 300 for $35 (new) plus about $25 postage. It is slightly different on lights etc but most of it applies to the UK models and it is in the English language as well.

Re: Oil Change

If you not going to use oem oil filters, a good choice is Hi-Flo filters as they are used by most of the bike trade in the UK and are TUV approved in Germany. I read a multi oil filter test on the internet and Fram were of really poor quality, with the one they had on test actually breaking up inside.

Re: My new 2013 Forza

The fuel gauge is pretty accurate till half full and then the needle drops like a stone and is totally inaccurate. Just fill up when the trip meter is double the large MPG figure on the dash - usually about 150 miles, and you will only fit about 9 litres in the tank, so, in theory, you would have ha...

Check that the rear brake is not sticking as they are often neglected because the caliper is not easy to get at for maintenance.
