Aftermarket shocks, which ones meant an improvement?
homie says they didn't make much difference. Another rider (one of the PCX aficionados on YouTube) said they did. Previously, I thought: "How strange that one felt it made a big difference and the other didn't!" This morning, I went to bikersbits to have a look , and was reminded that ther...

Thanks for following up. Seems like they're OK, and maybe he was just trying to multi-task last time. Did he check the valve clearances the first time? That's probably the most important. I've found that it get proper, by-the-book service, I have to go to a more expensive dealer, with a good reputat...

Re: PCX reactions: whats yours?
I had a couple of chunky black ladies corner me in the grocery store parking lot late one night. One of them was SERIOUSLY interested. Said she was going to have her boyfriend get her one. The sporty looks and underseat storage were the selling points for her. Oh, and reasonable price for a clean us...

He's obviously buffed the hell out of it with a grainy toothpaste and a lot of elbow grease.
The cloudiness looks similar to what you get if you hit your plastic watch crystal or sunglasses lenses with DEET-based bug repellent spray.

it's not the seat that's hard, it's the rear shocks. Unless you're a lot heavier than I am and are "bottoming out" the seat foam. (I'm 175 lbs.)
FWIW - I put a Beadrider on mine and it's as good as I can get with junky rear shocks.

Re: Newb Questions
That wind screen has GOT to keep a lot of airflow off the chest. Looks pretty aerodynamic, too. But depending on the design, there are penalties. Changing the airflow can make it so the wind hits the rider mid-helmet; that's turbulent and noisy. Clean air from the stock screen would be quieter, but ...

They're sure coming with taller windshields these days! Of you decide to cut into the underseat liberty for sick access, please let us know how it goes, with pix on where to cut and how you waterproofed it afterwards. Maybe a small hole saw in just the right place and some kind of rubber or foam plu...

Car wax is all you need. Don't pay extra for some specialized product when the mass market stuff works so well. ...especially since you only get rain there about twice a year. ;-D

Regarding carrying extra fuel, why not just fill up the PCX from the gas can and then refill the can at every fuel up? That way, it stays fresh.

Re: Do you pull ahead of the stop line?
In the turn lane only I will pull up far enough so the vehicle behind me can trip the light. Otherwise half the time I get no green arrow at all and the traffic is released leaving me to wait for a yellow to turn hoping no one is planning on running it. Very frustrating for me and any drivers behin...

I guess it depends on your definition of "light off road", but I don't think I would have chosen the PCX for that Duty. Maybe a Yamaha Zuma 125 would have been better? I will also be curious to see how you get everything you need for camping under the seat of a PCX150. Don't you use a ten...

There are no mopeds around me, so I don't know. Harley guys don't acknowledge it. Sportbikers give the "respect wave" when oncoming, but do a double-take when they realize they've been duped. Cagers want to pass me and get in front of me, thinking I'm a moped and will slow them down. From ...

Re: 2013 150 fuel economy is incredible but an odd observanc
I just filled up my PCX this morning. Over the last tank, I've been riding only in the suburbs. Average starts; not trying to be quick, just quick enough to not be a nuisance. Gentle throttle. Top speed for that tank was probably 50 mph. (81 kph) Result was 110.3 mpg, my best ever. I had one tank at...

Re: What is this?
The big shame is the hole drilled in the body plastic, which may defeat the weather resistance of the bike. Make sure you get that properly plugged up. Honda didn't intend for rain water to be dripping in there.

So the lesson is that WOT running kills fuel economy, but jackrabbit starts don't?
