Re: GY6 Kit
I did a Google search with those keywords and found this. There are countless parts of the GY6 engine, since it's one of the copied engine in china. They use it on most everything. https://www.google.com/search?q=gy6+oil+screen+kit&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS845US845&oq=gy6+oil+screen+kit&aqs=chrom...

Re: Effects of Extended Use At/Near Governed Top Speed
Your concern is a legitimate one. I think it's legitimate because when riding this scooter at it's top speed the engine is also at it's top RPM. When Gasoline engines are run at their top RPM they wear out faster. But, I wouldn't worry about it. Just check your oil often when on long high speed ride...

Re: PCX gone electrically dead with no warning
I have used Shorai Batteries before, they are legit. I don't have one of those on my scooter, but when the time comes I'll get one of those. The price isn't that bad. My scooter is still on it's original battery, can't complain.

Re: PCX gone electrically dead with no warning
Lead acid batteries don't only suffer chemical degradation, they also sustain physical damage from all the road vibrations. AGM batteries tend to last a bit longer, up too ten Years for those used in cars.

Re: PCX WW150D 2013 engine replacement possibilities
Engine rebuilds can go up to $1200.00 - $1500.00 depending on what you destroyed. I lost an engine. I DON"T KNOW HOW ! But I had it rebuilt with genuine Honda parts. The bad news was the bill. The good news was it was and performed no different than the original ! Because of that I do 2,000 mi...

I have seen something similar to your parking brake on Webike.Rickjds wrote:The 2020 is different. Every thing to set the parking brake is on the left handbrake, which personally I haven’t seen before, maybe somewhere knows of this set up. Did Honda relocate yours to the left hand brake?

Re: $90 armored Jacket from Amazon...any good?
Thanks for sharing. I have bought used and New old Stock gear on eBay in the past, it's a hit or miss on how good it is. With old gear, some of the water proofing liners disintegrate. Buying new is always better. In January I manage to get a good deal on the Olympia Troy Jacket for $150, It's a four...

Check the width of the belt. I'm wondering if it went under the service limit.

Re: CVT Carter destroyed
When I changed out my weights I failed to use a torque wrench. After a mile of riding that nut unscrewed itself and the variator ground itself through the casing like you have pictured. Yeah, this makes the most sence. As for the rear pulley noise, it might be the bearings in the clutch pulley. Tho...

Yeah, I do the same since removing the body panels is a pain. No. No....my brother in law never put the hood back on his Chevy either, or the right rear door. It's a 'look' for sure..... Don't worry about water getting in there. The dash gauges are sealed and only some relays are under the cover.

Re: water cooling on PCX150
That is a nice bit of info you shared. Thanks. There has been two times in the past year where I noticed a dime sized spot of coolant on the floor. Made me scratch my head. It makes sense now. Something to keep an eye on. There was an issue with early models and their coolant overflow tank. You mig...

Re: water cooling on PCX150
The water pump runs off the camshaft. It does have a weep hole for when the inner water pump shaft seal wears out, it will show signs of failure. I haven't seen anyone here have issues with the water pump. The cooling system on this scooter is quite nifty though. One cool thing about it is that the ...

If it was adjustable it would have a knob that can be turned by hand. How does the other end look like?

Re: Topbox instead of pillion seat?
They do, the ones I have seen use two pieces of plywood with a piano hinge. That way you can just lift the box when you need to access the under seat storage.RuffStuff wrote:Food delivery racks sit half over the rear seat, check ebay

What's in your storage box? I have a big box on my scooter and I don't get that issue. Although, I don't add heavy stuff on it.
