Re: Honda PCX Top Speeds (mph)

I managed to borrow my mates Garmin GPS this morning and went out for a quick run. Speedo Readings - Garmin Readings Flat ground - 66mph - 62.5mph Incline -56mph - 53mph Downhill - 66mph - 62.5mph It's worth noting that both on the flat and downhill the limiter kicked in and you could feel the engin...

Re: Sym Jet 100

Matt Black - I am no Chav thank you very much  I think I'm just going to leave it as it is and when the respray happens paint it back the colours it should be so it looks original. Anyways it went in for its MOT this morning at 9am. One advisory - on the way there we stuck in the back of my mat...

Re: Sym Jet 100

I'm thinking of updating the colour scheme to the latest SYM jet Colours - Pearl White with solid Royal Blue and then making some graphics up by hand to make it look like this one. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=sym+jet+euro+x&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&rlz=1R2ADFA_enGB441&biw=1152&bi...

Re: Sym Jet 100

Cosmetically it's had a home respray - badly with cans on the blue sections, but it's plastic and won't rust so it's being left until the spring then I'll get the compressor out and do it properly. There was one lug on the seat side panel that had cracked off but some Plastic welding rod, a blow tor...

Re: Fit like?

Hi Nice to see you back and active on a forum again. It's a shame they banned you - sometimes you did push them a bit - but hey that's what I thought rational discussions/deabtes are all about plus I thought the Americans invented "free speech" :D Back to your question - No one has cracked...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets

If your in the UK this place has some outstanding helmets on sale http://lidsdirect.co.uk/epages/eshop193014.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/eshop193014/Categories I wouldn't mind a couple of them myself :) (Now I just need to leave the webpage open so when "mrs Santa" checks her emails later ...

Re: Ouch

Well some good news for once. :) A couple of physio and manipulation sessions at the clinic I've been referred to and my neck, shoulder and arm are healing quickly. I've been given physio to do at home and a traction brace for my neck at night and it's working quite well. I've even been allowed back...

Re: Sym Jet 100

Now my shoulder is a bit better I've been able to sort "ratty" out properly. Me and my best mate decided to strip it down completely for a proper rebuild. Off came the plastics (7 screws missing) seat came off along with storage unit. Exhaust off next, shock absorber off, Back wheel off, f...

Re: Snow Time.

Nice ride, I'm just glad the snow has stayed in the west so far we've had one flurry and it was to wet to stick around.

My PCX is now officially garaged for the winter and I'll be using "Ratty" my new(old) winter hack scoot.

Re: Crazy motorcycle race

The Isle of Man TT races are legendary for the high speeds and spills(a few fatal over the years). I was lucky enough to go there last year when Guy Martin had a rather nasty "off" at over 120mph he was the luckiest, jammiest bloke alive and survived relatively unscathed considering where ...

just a quick weather report from sunny North East England (that's right I said Sunny! o_O - and windy and blinking cold) Temperature at 6am was -5c(23F) currently at 4c(39F) with a wind chill of -2c(28F) but the ground temperature hasn't managed to get above freezing point all day. Roads round here ...

Re: Michelin tyres

I can offer a tip for anyone wanting a safe way to experience the front wheel washing out. Take one push bike (mountain bikes are good for this) Find a patch of loose gravel and ride into it at moderate speed, turn gently at first to get used to the sensation of the front wheel doing strange things,...

Re: New PCX top speed???

Can I chip in here please? I love Modification thread debates The Honda PCX when released was a worldwide wide model with a few cosmetic and legal variations (Parking brake(US), kickstart(Asia), semaphor indicators(us), Stop/start(uk  ) etc.) The one thing that is the same on all models is the...

Re: Michelin tyres

It's not that big of a deal ;) , I grew up with Motocrossers and Trials bikes so letting the wheels slide about occasionally is second nature - I still don't like it when they do it without warning though o_O.

Re: Michelin tyres

Well that is a vote of good confidence :D . I think my next set are going to be either Diablos or the City grips. Saying that I have got used to the IRCs sliding about in the wet and if the road is clear a nice controlled 2 wheel drift through a wet bend can fun ;) (It's just a shame Pirelli don't d...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets

I went for a LIDL helmet cost me £39 for a flip front in Matt Black. It's the same as a Viper Helmet that costs £100.
I've also got a cheap Back up helmet - a blue Duchhini full face thing (£20 quid in a summer sale) that looks as cheap as it it sounds.

Nice Kit and at the right price -Nice one :D You forgot to mention it's a Torq kit, I've been thinking about a set if the missus will let me as they are quite well made and should last a while.
