Re: Pokemon Nooooooo!

I halfway wish I was still playing Ingress now that I have Natasha...

It would have been soooooo great...

I've moved on.

Re: Coolant Question

What about those of us in the US?

None of those sellers listed ship to the US.

Nothing like this comes up on US searches.

Re: Theory vs. Reality, or Schematic vs. Physical

Well, I do not have a wiring diagram inside my Shop Manual. Purchased from Helm, back in May, for $40 or so. Came shrink-wrapped. I can see where it was supposed to be, but there's nothing there except for a dried-up glue stripe. Apparently, this manual was not put together correctly at the printer....

Re: LED Tail light bulb, 2013 PCX150

So we still haven't figured out a workaround for the additional lighting + LED tail light bulb for the 2013... One would think that with all the brainpower we've got on this forum, that someone would have thought of a solution by now... I would really like to talk to someone at Honda, preferably som...

Re: Theory vs. Reality, or Schematic vs. Physical

I see I'm going to have to go out to the lair and get the thing.

That's what I get for not reading the manual.

Re: Theory vs. Reality, or Schematic vs. Physical

The turn signal plug is just referred to as a 2P, which is a 2 pin connector. You will probably be making up a new harness for those extra driving lights. They may end up being tapped into the harness , or else you can splice into one side with a plug. I believe the harness is entirely different fo...

Re: Achieving a goal without knowing what you're doing...

I know exactly of what you speak, WN... I spent my first two years at Georgia Southern working for a construction company, and there are three shopping centers, two apartment complexes and several houses down there that I helped build. The guy that taught me masonry and bricklaying had forgotten mor...

Re: Theory vs. Reality, or Schematic vs. Physical

Actually, I do have a shop manual. There is no wiring diagram in it, to the best of my knowledge, but I admit I have not read every page. I thought everyone knew to have a shop manual.. Mel, yours is, in fact, the very diagram I had looked at, which prompted me to inquire about the difference betwee...

Theory vs. Reality, or Schematic vs. Physical

For those of you who have been following the Bracket Saga, among other things, I'm pretty much now at the point where I am going to do the installs for the new running lights and DDLs, the new brake flasher, the flasher relay, etc. I have two pretty good copies of the wiring diagram for the PCX 150,...

Re: Achieving a goal without knowing what you're doing...

Ish, I have to laugh at your last statement. I live right across the street from a Home Depot. It is one of my favorite places to go to dream up ideas....that, and ACE Hardware. Oh, and by the way, I had no parents. All of my training came from being in the military. I would have stayed in if they ...

Wow guys... You really know how to make an old tinkerer feel good. Mel, I deeply appreciate your comments and advice. My dad once told me (among the other innumerable gems he's passed along) "If you aim small, you're going to hit small" It was years before I understood what that meant. My ...

Re: Achieving a goal without knowing what you're doing...

Mel: Thank you. A compliment from you goes a long way to puffing up my ego. :) I'm just not really sure what you mean by the "proper way" I just wanted it to look like it's supposed to be that way, and not make it look owner-rigged. As Honda might have done it, if they'd thought of it. If ...

Re: Achieving a goal without knowing what you're doing...

An update...

I've finished the brackets project, and I have to say, they turned out exactly the way I had envisioned.

Here are a couple of photos to show what the new running lights with bracket, look like.

When I get a chance to put them on, I'll start a thread on the project.

Re: It's gone

What a terrible thing to have happen. I would be so angry if someone napped Natasha. I've put a lot of love into taking care of her and adding personalizing modifications, and I don't know what I'd do. You could try two things, if I may be so bold. 1) Invest in a motion-sensing alarm system, and put...

Re: Achieving a goal without knowing what you're doing...

I am pleased to report that the first part of this initial project has been an unqualified success. The first thing I'm doing is mounting a set of running lights in the place of the reflectors on the front and rear of Natasha. (Photo 1) The running lights look like these, and they put out a fair bit...
